Why isn't intent ever important anymore? I have no doubt the "intent" was to be nice and do something to honor the day. Most likely the the staff has a few African Americans that could have requested the menu. Just because something is "stereotypical" doesn't mean people don't like it.
I'm Polish. and yes, I like stereotypical Polish food. I would not be offended if on Polish American day a cafeteria offered pierogies and kielbasa. I would be very pleased in fact.

As a search using the parameters I've just mentioned showed no previous postings on this matter, I proceeded to post it.
