An angry man riding a mobility scooter plunged to his death, after he rammed an elevator door. The unfortunate incident happened at a shopping center in Daejon, South Korea. The 40 year old man who's name was Lee, obviously had a problem with his anger. That anger, for what ever reason, has been his undoing. You will see the man reach the elevator just after the woman inside pressed the button to go down. Seconds after the doors closed, Mr Lee reached the elevator and actually ran into the doors because he must have anticipated that the woman would hold the door open for him.

Its an odd thing. On youtube there are two versions. One is rated 18+ and the other is open access. So, you are correct in your assessment that this video is on the border of being out of bounds.
Sounds like a Darwin Awards candidate to me.

There is a wide, distinct difference between a person who causes their own demise out of a reckless combination of anger and stupidity, and the innocent baby being murdered before it’s born.

I think it’s educational. You can be sure I told my family members (especially my teenage grandson) that it’s a possibility that if you slam into elevator doors, they will open. Please read my comment # 19.

I don’t think FReepers here find it funny. I think everyone thinks the 40 year old was stupid. He sounds like he was self destructive. It was suicide. Certainly he knew that the elevator was not on that floor by the time he crashed through the doors.
I have witnessed this type of behavior at my mother’s assisted living facility. Many of the people who use these scooters are a menace. They ride down the middle of the hallway and seem to think everyone should get out of their way, they are rude in their speech and I’ve nearly been run over. I don’t find it funny at all. Thank goodness he didn’t injure anyone but himself.

Out of 23 posts previous to yours, there was only 1 LOL, so you owe a bunch of FReepers an apology.
I don’t think it’s funny. It’s something of an instructive lesson.
If you had watched the video, you would see he doesn’t just hit the door once. He backs off, and rams into it again. The doors are mirrored and after the first hit they break all over the floor.
IMHO, this man knew what he was doing. He was angry and taking it out on someone else’s property. He just didn’t expect to die doing it.
Gravity..., it’s not just a good idea, it’s the law.
The only thing that I can think of, aside from the obvious - that he was not thinking at all - was that he thought the elevator was still there and the woman was intentionally keeping the doors closed.
