Rudy Giuliani, the former New York mayor and 2008 Republican presidential candidate, talked Tea Party... in a lively interview with CNN's Piers Morgan that [aired] at 9 ET Monday night.As an active member of the Tea Party movement in Minnesota, I may be expected to take issue with Giuliani's assertion. However, one of the charms of the Tea Party is its defiance of expectation. I actually agree with the mayor.Overall, the Tea Party is a "good" movement, Giuliani said, but it has also attracted "a couple of people that are a little crazy ... "
There are, in fact, a couple people in the Tea Party that are a little crazy. There is a sound explanations for their presence, and for my ability as a Tea Party activist to acknowledge them.
