He, convinced against his will, is unconvinced still.
If you have to result to that kind of garbage to get people to come to your church, then it might not be a church worth going to.
I drove a bus for my church for over 10 years. I used to be big on trying to get people to come to my church. Now I am just more about telling people the Good News. It’s especially easy since I don’t “go to church” any more. I put it in quotes becasue I don’t actually have a “home” church any more.
Our nomadic lifestyle has left us in a situation where a “home” church doesn’t really offer anything to us and there is not much we can offer in that environment that doesn’t eventually get the negative attention of church leadership. And it’s always “non-bullet-doctrine” stuff.
“Church” has become a spectator sport for me, for the most part.
I would never tell my friends to go to church. It should be their choice.
I had folks doing everything possible to get me to attend their church.
I said leave me the hell alone to each of them.
I was at the gym working out on a Sunday Morning -—Nov 1st, 2009—All Saints Day-—and I had the sudden urge to attend mass. I went and I haven’t missed a Mass yet.
Everyone has to have their own calling, you cannot force, urge, threaten one to attend Church.
Run TV and radio ads promising a "free King James Bible", then when folks respond to the ad tell them you'll send the missionaries out to their house to deliver the Bible....note: That method may NOT work.
I’d rather have the church come to them.
