I started out thinking that I would write how Rep. Paul Ryan of Wisconsin stole the night away from a man who is supposed to out communicate the Great Communicator.
It is said that president Barry Hussein Soetoro studied Ronald Wilson Reagan before giving this State of the Union address. A lot of good that did him, President Soetoro address was like Taco Bell meat we dont know how much of the presidents speech is real and how much of the speech is just filler.
Then I listened to Rep. Michele Bachmann make the case for Conservatives as represented by the Tea parties. Bachmann spoke as clearly and succinctly as anyone in politics today. Last night was clearly a night for Conservatives and Republicans because both Bachmann's and Ryan's response was better, more honest than the presidents bifurcated and Orwellian misuse of the language. The fact that both Republicans were truthful and forthright was in stark contrast against the president's abuse of the American peoples intelligence.

I am glad she did it. It is being dutifully ignored by the MSM. But the train has left the station. We demand liberation from the yoke of government. This means eliminating all the Federal agencies such as EPA and the rest. They are expendable.
Ryan wasn’t bad but even CNN seemed to like Bachmann’s detail based speech better.
Yes, Bachmann hit a grand slam leaving naysayers with nothing but slithering omments about the camera angle.
Her honesty is so refreshing, and these days, also so rare.
" And I especially want to thank you for bringing me all that
Oolong tea. Tea is very big around here since Nov 2010."
“more honest than the presidents bifurcated and Orwellian misuse of the language”
Obama got elected by being dishonest - he’s not changing his stripes, just always trying to paint them a more ‘moderate’ color.
Despite the reality, that Bachmann did great, Ryan did okay, and Obama sucked, the phone banks are full of smooth tongued stooges mocking Bachmann and praising Obama.
Because the total failure and collapse of the United States is needed to usher in the One World Government. One with no US Constitution and a dictator style rule.
Didn’t see Bachmann; but, I think Ryun did alot better than the last few ‘rebuttals’...ALOT better.
While OB was wanting to build more choo choo trains Ryan and Bachmann were exposing waste and corruption.
Pray for America
There's your first mistake, but it answers your question.
Why not just post it here?
Even establishment Republican Erick Ericksen of Red State thought that Bachmann did best. She gained significant ground last night.
THe “five pillars” of change? Did anyone get this analogy to the Five Pillars of Islam? Was his speech coded? So certain persons would “get” the message?
Bachmann was way better and RIGHT TO THE DAMN POINT!
I listened to it on satelite radio, and maybe it was a Kennedy-Nixon thing, but on the radio Ryan was good and Bachmann was horrible, seriously, she sounded rushed and amatuer. I couldn’t focus on WHAT she was saying because HOW she was saying it was so bad.
Hate to disappoint, but the “sputnik moment” is actually not an attempt to draw inspiration from communist regimes, but rather to recapture the eureka moment Americans experienced when we realized we had to get into space and do it better than the Russians or we would be in a world of hurt, when we realized we could not tolerate a world in which the communists outperformed us in something so strategically important in space travel. In reality, it was a very American moment, and that is why Obama tried to use it. Unfortunately for him, he cannot speak Reaganese without a communist accent, so his sputnik didn’t fly, if you’ll pardon the expression.
Hi, Bueller here. The reference to a "Sputnik moment" is not looking to a failed Communist State for inspiration. He was "attempting" an analogy in that when the Russian's launched Sputnik, it prompted the American government to get serious about Space and it was the inspiration that prompted our quest to put a man on the moon. Thus, the space race was born (we won). The analogy doesn't really work though because the "space race" was mostly about government innovating to put a man on the moon. Our problems are in the private sector and we need the government to get out of the way and stop stifling the private sector via confiscatory taxes and burdensome regulations.
