Accusations of bigotry are far too common, and tend to be unsubstantiated. Playing the race card has proven an effective way to avoid arguing the merits of ideas.
That said, there is bigotry in the world, and it needs to be illuminated and condemned. One recent example comes from Max Blumenthal, described by NRB's Matthew Vadum as "a soulless ultra-leftist propagandist who labors under the misapprehension that he is a journalist." In a recent post on his website, Blumenthal condemns the Israeli response to an insult from singer Macy Gray.
The Israeli media is filled with reports about Macy Gray confirming her plans to perform in Tel Aviv in March. This should have been an occasion for Israelis to celebrate their continuing ability to behave as a normal society despite occupying millions of people, holding Gaza under siege, maintaining an apparatus of racism against its non-Jewish citizens. But in a poorly calculated stunt designed to wash her hands of human rights concerns, Gray had first asked her fans if she should perform despite what she called Israels disgusting treatment of the Palestinians. Within hours, thousands of people who had no prior interest in Gray or her music flocked to her Facebook page (they only had to like her page in order to post) to register their opinions. Gray, who appeared to have every intention of performing anyway, remarked after announcing her plan to go to Tel Aviv, that some of those urging her to boycott were assholes(...)... However, her initial criticism of Israels occupation has invited a firestorm of racist, sexist and generally hateful diatribes from Israelis.

Can THEY say “blood libel” or are they forbidden as well?
Who? Never heard of him / her / it
What? No one in America is hiring her to sing? LOL! Has-been useful idiot.
She sings like a Disney character on crack.
Salomon was worth the weight, all 500 pounds of him.
“a soulless ultra-leftist propagandist who labors under the misapprehension that he is a journalist.”
Such thoughtful descriptions of leftists warm my heart.
What’s his/her claim to fame?
Shut up you ugly bi***.
She had two or three pretty big pop hits. Here’s her first, the one that put her on the map:

She has kind of a retro R&B sound that in my opinion is pretty fantastic. I’m not real impressed with her comment though.
Gray had first asked her fans if she should perform despite what she called Israels disgusting treatment of the Palestinians.

Sure, she should go and perform, then she should give every red-hot penny she earns to the Palestinians.
Sheesh, I don’t know who Gray is but she sure comes across as a chithead sheeple.
Anita Baker pots them all to shame...

Which Max Blumenthal and his daddy, Sid Blumenthal know all too well how to use.
After her appointment as Secretary of State, Clinton wanted to hire (Sidney) Blumenthal. However, it was reported that White House chief of staff Rahm Emmanuel blocked his selection due to lingering anger among Obama aides over Blumenthal's role in promoting negative stories about Obama during the Democratic primary.
He also was tasked with smearing and defaming Clinton opponents, which he did with enough tenacity to earn himself the nickname Sid Vicious.
The grand jury investigating the Lewinsky matter called on Blumenthal to testify about what Clinton may have told him regarding the young woman. During this period, Blumenthal publicly characterized Independent Counsel Kenneth Starr as a prosecutor on a mad mission from God; a constitutional illiterate; and part of a right-wing conspiracy.
Blumenthal is believed to have been responsible in 1998 for leaking information to the media regarding an extramarital affair in which Clinton opponent Henry Hyde had been involved during the 1960s.
Let’s get a real picture of her...

Gray was quoted in the New York Posts Page Six column on Thursday (Jan 22, 09): “I’m in love with Barack Obama... I wanna get married. Why am I not Michelle (Obama)? You know, why can’t I be her?”
Macy Gray (born Natalie Renee Marge Simpson McIntyre; September 6, 1967), also credited as Natalie Hinds in her music, is an American R&B and soul singer.
Gray was born in Canton, Ohio, home of the Pro Football Hall of Fame, where she briefly worked at age 12, before being fired for lateness. She decided to pursue a career in music after being expelled from Western Reserve Academy in Hudson, where she had attended since age 14.
On September 28, 2008, Gray sang the American national anthem as part of the Israeli flag-raising ceremony at the Israeli Consulate of Los Angeles.

The same applies to his father, the infamous Sidney ("Sid Vicious") Blumenthal, the so-called "journalist" best known for his work as a Clinton apparatchik. In this case, the apple didn't fall far from the tree!
Is it possible to laugh and cry at the same time? You ARE awarded the "Bullseye of the Day," or uh, maybe the "Precise Scintillating Query of the Day."
