Suddenly Radical Frances Fox Piven Is Old "Widowed College Professor"

Frances Fox Piven has a history of flame-throwing. She’s better known as one-half of the infamous Cloward-Piven strategy, wherein she and her husband published a theory detailing how people could overwhelm the system, break the system, and then get higher, guaranteed income. From magic.

Now that Piven’s calls for violent revolution have landed her in the … spotlight (you thought I was going to say crosshairs, didn’t you! You vitriolic person!) and the media is circling the wagons.

The New York Times is concerned:

On his daily radio and television shows, Glenn Beck has elevated once-obscure conservative thinkers onto best-seller lists. Recently, he has elevated a 78-year-old liberal academic to celebrity of a different sort, in a way that some say is endangering her life.

LOL She’s a 78 year old Knitting Grandmother.

Wonder what hobbies Hitler would have if he was still alive? Sheesh.

I knew her at the CUNY Graduate Center. She was an arrogant bitch then and a real anal person who looked down at everyone. Typical radical professor. I never took a course with her but a lot of my fellows did and the conservative ones didn’t have much good to say about her. There were always the impressionable left wing tarts mostly subsidized by their red diaper loving parents who went on to infect academia with the malaise.

Are there verifiable connections between her and the Obama administration? Any of them her students?

Piven and Cloward were key speakers at the first “Socialist Scholars Conferences” in the mid-60s. Obama went to SSC at Cooper Union and possibly Columbia in the 1980s/early 90’s (no one is sure exactly when), which were Second Generation red SSCs.

It is a sure bet that other Obama supporters, not necessarily in this administration, also attended them.

Attempts are being made to find the original reports on the 1960’s SSCs where Cloward-Piven laid out their destruction of American society plans in the open.

If anyone has old issues of U.S.A. magazine by Alice Widener, email me here at FR in Private Reply. These are worth their weight in gold re today’s communists and friends of Obama.

Yes there are as a matter of fact. Don’t remember names but you can do google searches and I am sure they will turn up. The one thing that sticks in my mind about her were these large silk scarves she used to wear. Very chic as I recall. She certainly didn’t live the proletariat peasant life.
