I know by now everyone has already heard that Jack LaLanne is dead, but this article shares some different information from the others I have seen

I used to come home from school and Jack LaLanne would be on TV. Arthur Godfrey, Art Linkletter were on the other channels.
Had to wait an hour or so until cartoons or the Stooges showed up on one of our four channels.

"The Bragg Healthy Lifestyle Motto is: "You are what you eat, drink, breathe, think, say and do". Bragg health products and books can be bought at health food stores everywhere and may be most famous for their apple cider vinegar. (whose bottle touts the christian fish with John 3:16 within)" If believers are to accurately represent this thing we call the Gospel, we ought to avoid mixed messages such as "You are what you eat, drink..." along with John 3:16.
Fortunately, the Scriptures are clear: People are not this, at all. They are what God decides to make of them. There are many folks who are physical wrecks and yet have been excellent teachers of biblical truth. They are far more valuable to the human race than the exquisite specimens turned out by physical fitness gurus.

Jack LaLanne's older brother, who was not a fitness enthusiast, died 6 years ago at the age of 97.
It's all genetics.

I’ll bet Jack’s last 30 years were much better quality than his brother’s last 30 years.

The Bragg family or someone high up in the company must be Christian. Good health is important and for those who care to look up the scripture they will find something even better.

Ill bet Jacks last 30 years were much better quality than his brothers last 30 years. According to his obituary, Norman LaLanne ran his own business until he was 88, was a regular at a local barbecue joint, enjoyed playing golf at his club regularly until shortly before he died and he would speak with his brother on the phone every day.
So he was apparently lucid to the end, and feeling well enough to play golf in his 90s.
Jack LaLanne's mantra was "if something tastes good, spit it out."
Doesn't sound like he enjoyed the last 30 years if all he was doing was drinking celery juice and exercising.

That’s long enough. Quality is more important than quantity.

“If you have a chair and a towel, you can stay in shape,” during the 1960s, my mother was a devotee — every day with Jack Lalanne.

One of my earliest memories in the 60’s is Jack LaLanne.
My mom watched him every day, after the soap opera.
She had this exercise thing she bought from him, simply a rubber band with two handles. I forgot the name, but I was fascinated with it. I didn’t get the exercise part, though. Why anyone would spend time pulling this things and bouncing up and down when they could go out and play hopscotch escaped me.

Exactly! When you can ride your bike from sun-up to sun-down, play tether ball, go swimmin’, who wants to sit around doing leg lifts — especially when you can stand on your head and do cartwheels. Sheesh!
At 61, I have a little more time, but I like my Ab-circle, my bands, my 3 mile walks, altho’ on snowy, cold days, I could do a few leg lifts — wish I could still stand on my head. ;-)

For his 65th birthday he towed 10 rowboats across the Golden Gate...each with 200lbs in them. He did this with his hands tied behind his back and the rope in his teeth.
that's fit.
