First, the ethical considerations:

If one is using so many $5 off coupons in one day, and if (like most) there is a limitation printed on said coupons, then one is theoretically (or at least morally) fraudulently using them.

On the slightly shady side:

One coupon per paper, so multiple copies of the paper must be used. People have been prosecuted for theft for taking “free” papers, on the grounds that they are intended to be free for all, rather than glommed upon by a single individual. This is unfairly preventing others who may actually NEED the product from getting a legitament discount.

On the worldly/practical side:

If, in compliance with normal coupon limitations, ONE per purchase (often even one per person per stoore visit; or even per day), how much time and gas money is wasted going from store to store, and standing in lines?

I’ve also noticed many times, theough that doesn’t seem to be the case in this specific instance, that very often even a ‘large’ discount coupon for a major brand product leaves it still more expensive than the store or lesser known brand THAT HAS THE SAME FORMULATION.

I’ve done manufacturing inspection work, where the ONLY difference in a product (and ultimate price) was whose lable was applied in mid run.

In the warehouse, there were times that product was relabled, to put together an order for a store-brand customer, rather than set up a custom label run.

No such limitation for this transaction.

The coupon inserts are from tossed away newspapers or purchased online. Next objection.

One purchase can include multiple items aka transactions.

Not when I buy the stuff. ...One final "ethical" objection, please.

Nothing to do with couponing. The ethical problem in that case has to do with that warehouse not with The Coupon Whisperer nor his Couponeers.

Most coupons do not have limitations on how many you can use in a day.. P&G has started putting a limitation on their coupons. 4 per visit. What constitutes a visit??? Do I need to hop in my car and come back? How about just putting my bags in the car and coming back? How about 1 hour and coming back. No definition of “visit”.

Some stores do limit you on how many items you can buy with coupons . It tends to be grocery stores that do it. Walgreens does not. A Store manager might.

Btw, one coupon per purchase means one per ITEM. You cannot use 5 coupons on one item. You can purchase 5 items with 5 coupons in a transaction unless it states one per transaction. Then you just do more than one transaction - which you have to do anyway with Walgreens RRs.

Walgreens system is the most difficult to work with as opposed to CVS and Rite Aid.

Here is a suggestion for you. If you don’t like coupons and deals then find you a thread that suits what you like.
