Later reviewed in another case and reversed by the SCOTUS. Parents may not deprive a minor child of his or Citizenship, which may be re-established when the child reaches majority age.

Sven has posted info that indicates under some circumstances it is possible for a minor to relinquish US citizenship. The info he’s posted in the past is pretty convincing that it is possible. The minor himself has to sign stuff and go to the US embassy or consulate. Sven says that 0h0m0 did this in Indonesia.

Exactly. All he had to do to regain citizenship, supposing he had it in the first place, was to fill out the papers.

However, there is no evidence that he did so.

And if, as seems likely, he attended college as an Indonesian exchange student, that may explain why he didn't.
