When past video of Christine ODonnell admitting she played with witchcraft in high school popped up in the 2010 U.S. Senate race, she felt the need to heavily address the issue. The Deleware candidate did this in comments denying she was still a witch, and even in a T.V. commercial, where the first words out of her mouth were Im not a witch.
ODonnell s big mistake was making an issue out of something that happened way back in High School. It was a non-issue, she was young and stupid like we all are at that age. No explanation beyond I was a young and stupid High School Student at the time was necessary, and saying more only created the issue basically out of thin air, LIKE MAGIC!
Sarah Palin is basically falling into the same trap, times 2! She also needs to NOT talk about the Tuscon shooting anymore, not giving the charges against her any merit.
But she DOES need to talk.
She needs to resume interviews, facebooking and tweeting now, (last FaceBook post 5 days ago) or her silence will also give the crosshair, dont retreat
reload charges merit. Silence is deadly for Sarah, and she needs to act appropriately in this situation, which is

If either C.O. or S.P. were ‘playing’ with witchcraft, I think Karl Rove would be snagging sustenance with his tongue, while sitting on a lilly pad. :)
Does she weigh as much as a duck?
I applaud anyone who can stay away from social media for periods of time.
The title of this is silly too.
I know some people feel bad about donating a small amount like $5 or $10 but heck, if that’s what you’ve got, that’s what you’ve got! I don’t know many that would turn their nose up at it :-) So I’ll propose that if you want to donate something between $5 and $20, when you either contact me or someone pings me that something under $20 was donated, I’ll throw in the extra up to $20. So if you donate $7.50 I’ll donate $12.50. I don’t have a lot since I already sent in an extra amount this time, but let’s cap it at $110. So get to getting please! *HUGE FReeper HUGS* to all that support this wonderful website, its founders and the patriots that visit here! 224 posted on 01/21/2011 3:13:19 PM PST by leapfrog0202 ("the American presidency is not supposed to be a journey of personal discovery" Sarah Palin)

Sarah Palin has every right to fight back against these Stalinist/Kirov-assasination-style smears.
We all know that Goerge W. Bush -- a fine man -- wanted to be above the fray with the many smears leveled against him and that didn't work. Why should Sarah Palin make the same mistake?
If, on the other hand, large masses of Americans are stupid enough to fall for the smears of "The Daily Kos," Paul Krugman; etc., then maybe this country is no more and we can weep over what it once was :(
I agree. She should limit her response to a concise and specific refutation of any charge/smear, avoiding heated rhetoric upon which the left can seize. But silence is not necessary or effective either, as the GWB experience proved.
Perhaps her recent silence means she is dealing with other issues.
They knew it the first time they saw her.
It's why they go insane every time they think of her.
