My kid has to listen to me harp about every subject matter under the sun and he’s sick of it. Usually it’s the very diverse subject matters you hear about every day here at FreeRepublic. He’s upset because I thought he flubbed his final exams (9th grade) but I checked and he’s still over 4.00 GPA and got all A’s. I can’t fault him because his grades didn’t drop. I gave him back his XBox 360 tonight and warned him not to do it again. Basically what I did was mimic the Chinese leader saying how foolish America was stating facts in pidgeon English with a Asian accent. He didn’t dig it and got upset. You know like, “Amerikan velly foolish-—no produce and save, only borrow and consume”. Chinese nation number one-—we nationalistic and China come first-—Amerikan foolish, spend all money to help animal people in middle east and africa” Amerikan nation fat and lazy-—people want welfare” Some Amerikan will make good Chinese slave but most we turn into fertilizer”....
Maybe he simply didn't like your mimicking of how Chinese people speak and wasn't really paying attention to what you were saying about the way many there view the US.

Over 4.0 GPA? Isn't 4.0 as high as it gets? The Chinese are of course extremely strict on their kids and would probably punish them for slipping from a perfect 4.0 GPA. Sounds like your kid is doing pretty darn good in school.
