It's the start of something I think should not continue - but that probably can't be stopped, people being what they are.
It's the start of hyphenations - Black-Conservative, Latino-Conservative, each with their own definition of what "a conservative" is, depending on their culture, life experience, blah, blah, blah.
It's the beginning of compromise between hyphenated conservative groups who don't see eye-to-eye.
And above all, it sets something other than being a Conservative above, well, being a Conservative.
I'd rather see a group of Conservatives where one might say "I'm a conservative black" or "I'm a conservative latino/latina".
It's a word-ordering thing.
