Many of our nation's Founders were Calvinists, and Calvinism is in part at the foundational philosophical core of a religious Reformation ("Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God" - delivered by famous "New Light" Calvinist minister Jonathan Edwards) that eventually inspired and led to the political Reformation known as the United States.
