I haven’t heard anyone publically telling her not to run.
I do hear some columnists tell her she is toast.
Who told her?
Why should I listen to them?
I do believe that if she isn’t printed on my ballot, I will write her in.
That’s want I mean!
I had a little over a half hour conversation with her when she was in Seattle a few months ago. I told her I didnt think she should run and she could impact the country in a more positive way by doing, well, what shes doing now.
I still feel that way. I wouldnt want Rush to run either.

We got quite a few on FR who believe Palin should not run for POTUS.
Somehow they’ve drank the kool-aid and don’t even know it.
I also believe, as things stand now, Gov. Palin is the only potential candidate who would beat Obama.
Do you always get so upset over what democrats say?
They can’t tell her not to run any more than they actually can say she is toast.

It doesn’t add up.
Reread my post. I said publically, not privately, which is what the poster was saying.
She has every right to run if she wants....the more the merrier....let the primaries choose our candidate. I want that person to be touch, good in debates, and a strong conservative that will point out unapologetically all of Obama’s mistakes. Tired of Repubs PRAISING the one....looking at you Newt ;)
“I want every GOP Candidate to run including Palin & Herman Cain!” I like Herman too, but Sarah is already going to lose Conservative votes to the Huckster, and he could dilute her enough to let a rino slip in, like the Huckster did to Fred.......no no no, that’s not gonna happen. Sarah’s is so strong, it’s not going to matter what anyone does. In Sarah, we see tough love. And that’s very powerful. And she’s exactly what the country needs. Palin/Cain ‘12
She needs to run or for the first time ever she would really be a “Quitter!”
It would be like the Chicago Bears not showing up to lose to the Green Bay Packers Sunday!
I think the media is having a hard time in this case repeating the same lines and getting it to be taken seriously. It is obvious what they are doing.
They are starting to make me laugh.
Well yes, but so what?
I think there are job opportunites opening up for the speech police over at CNN.
As soon as she says sh;e not running (if she says that), the media will loose interest in her faster than you can say boo.
If we wish to fight, the enemy can be forced to an engagement even though he be sheltered behind a high rampart and a deep ditch. All we need do is attack some other place that he will be obliged to relieve. If we do not wish to fight, we can prevent the enemy from engaging us even though the lines of our encampment be merely traced out on the ground. All we need do is to throw something odd and unaccountable in his way.

I think she would be a great president, but I learned something in 2008. I learned to trust the polls more and I learned to never underestimate the utter stupidity of the electorate.
I know a lot of intelligent people that think she is a joke. A LOT of them. And you can’t even discuss it with them. She polarizes that strongly. And I know even more “mouth breathers” that think she is an idiot. No, the irony is not lost on me.
I’ve said before that politicians are like beer. If you want to win, the goal is not to have a strong and “good” taste. The goal is to have a “weak” taste so as not to offend. That is why Budweiser sells more beer than Alaskan Breweries. It is not designed to impress. It is designed to not offend.
Sarah will say what she means. I applaud and respect that. It is what Rush does. It is what a lot of political commentators do. It is not what “elected” politicians do, if they want to stay elected. Especially in our current environment.
Then again, I think the movie “Idiocracy” is a strong statement regarding our current culture. The responsibility for our country ending up with the sorry folks we have in our representative positions in government lies squarely on the shoulders of the electorate. And most of the electorate feels about Sarah the way you and I feel about Obama.
Now, she could run, knowing that she would lose, to have an impact on the debate. But that is another issue.
I reiterate: it amazes me how many people I personally know that think she is an idiot. And when I listen to their reasons I can only shake my head. I have the picture of my wife and I with her on my cell phone and the lions share of people I show it to are NOT impressed. It’s actually kinda sad. And a statement on why we are STILL headed into the abyss.
You had a one-on-one conversation. With Sarah Palin. A couple months ago. For over a half hour. And you told her not to run. Are all these statements correct?
