MSNBCs Donny Deutsch claimed the strange state of Arizona does not recognize Martin Luther King Day and Al Sharpton agreed on why they believe Arizona should secede from the union on Morning Joe. To make the argument, they also referenced the Tucson tragedy.
Arizona does, in fact, recognize MLK day. Arizona voters approved a measure to recognize the holiday in 1992.

Any media outlet or person who gives Al Sharpton a voice is part of the problem. Sean Hannity included
Two absolute certified nutcases!!! End of story!!!
The MSM is so used to be unchallenged, they can say anyting. Too bad the “Good REV” wasn’t listening to KFYI news. They were listing the start times for the MLK parades today.
..what I meant was Hannity frequently has the racist pig as a guest on his show when Sean doesn't have Lanny Davis or Whore-aldo Rivera as a guest.
Arizona was the last of the 48 contiguous states admitted... in 1912. If I were them, I would now be asking if it was a mistake. On the other hand, being part of Mexico would not be a good option either.
MLK: Man should be judged by the content of his character and NOT THE COLOR OF HIS SKIN
Affirmative Action: Man should be judged by the COLOR OF HIS SKIN.
Blacks need to make a choice. Either trash MLK or trash Affirmative Action.
Don’t feel the need to apologize—Hannity’s a light-weight who provides yet another media forum for the Left to spew their bilge. I stopped listening to him years ago.
If Arizona does elect to secede, I’ll give serious consideration to moving there.
Sharpton & Douche
If Arizona was to secede and wanted to be a viable country, it would have to seize the Colorado River delta and Baja California from Mexico. I would sign up yesterday for that.
If AZ secedes from the socialist USSA, I am moving to AZ!
And that would make things even more interesting for L.A. County, which depends upon AZ for much of its electrical power? I'd have to say AZ would be in a fairly advantageous position on that one.
Does everyone remember that the NFL pulled the 1993 Super Bowl out of Arizona because they didn’t have a state holiday for Martin Luther King at that time? The state eventually did recognize the holiday, and the NFL has had Super Bowls there since. But because they were slow to recognize it as a state holiday, the liberals can’t let it go.
I’ve noticed more than one news outlet today, in discussing Martin Luther King, is tying his legacy and dream into the Tucson shooting, and saying that we haven’t achieved Dr. King’s dream, yadda, yadda, yadda. What exactly does the Tucson shooting have to do with Dr. King’s work? They were trying to say that the shooting indicates how much violence we have, and Dr. King was non-violent. Why don’t those liberal news people talk about the drive-by shootings in South Central, south side of Chicago, Detroit, Gary, E. St. Louis, et. al. if they want to talk about violence? Those types of shootings happen every day. Why is Tucson somehow the poster child for gun violence plaguing America?
Since Dr. King was black, and the violence in these big cities is often committed by black gang members, wouldn’t it make more sense to talk about that violence, if we want to talk about Dr. King’s legacy and violence happening today????
Arizona - doing the job the federal government won’t do.
The Democrats want as many “undocumenteds” in the U.S. as they can get.
Sharpton libels people and has created a “climate of violence” in the past.
yep. our Gov. did the holiday by Executive order. our new Gov. wanted a vote on it because it extended PAID days off. he pulled it and then the NFL started their “boycott”. as far as i know, AZ is the only state that held a vote on it, and it passed by the people.
I agree with your points, they are valid. That’s why the MSM won’t speak about it.
