Many are interested in his views on family values and issues as he will play a huge part in Election 2012.
In the December 1, 2010 RNC candidate forum, Priebus provided a few details about his politics. He said he believes the RNC is "part of" the Tea Party movement. He believes in the Christian God.
He stated that if he were elected as RNC chair it would be through God's blessing; believes it is the Republican Party's mission to "save our country, to save our party, and to take back the White House.
He believes someone who is "pro-abortion, pro-stimulus, pro-AIG ... might not be a Republican.
He believes that being pro-life is "paramount" to the Republican Party platform. He wants to ban earmarks and to require photo IDs to vote. He opposes the legal recognition of same sex marriage. His political heroes include Ronald Reagan and Abraham Lincoln, and he has stated that he owns five guns.

That is because he is not much of a conservative. he is good on government spending.
Had a call from the RNC yesterday, trying to shake some money out of me. I had given a good chunk of it the morning of the announcement of Sarah for McLame's VP, and I told them she was the only reason, and that it was my first and only gift to the national party -- mainly due to the RNC's shameful treatment of her, and of conservative challengers elsewhere.
I told her my new name for the RNC is W8NC.
Five guns... Thats scary.
It way too few.

Perhaps not. Consider type and caliber. For instance:
1 .357 revolver- for personal protection in tight areas;
1 20 ga. shotgun - for closeup and personal work as well as hunting;
1 .306 rifle - for moderate distance work as well as hunting;
1 Barrett M82 .50 BMG rifle with nightscope - for long distance work, day or night;
1 GAU-19/AGatling - for use when nothing else will do.

That’s what ex-Sen Russ Feingold thought too...
Sadly, the amateur comedians and childish wiseacres dominate FR these days.
When I read “pro-life” at the top of his list, my thought is that is the very best thing he could have said. This nation’s slide into the abyss accelerated with the “legalization” of the killing of the unborn. Saving the Republic is not going to happen until the right to life is secured.
Or, we could just make fun of a man’s name, I guess.
Good grief - he's a RINO at best and being a good gabber does NOT trump RINO policies.
Only some troll would be pushing Christie....

He ran our state party and not only helped get a Tea Party candidate elected senator and a financially very conservative man elected governor, both houses of our state legislature turned from decidedly Democrat to Republican too. All this in progressive Wisconsin! I can’t wait to see what he can do nationally.
If they had mandatory ID for voters then Sharon Angle would be senator now.
You are correct.imo
I think the jury is still out on that. The RNC and GOP leadership have paid little more than lip-service to the Tea Party to date.
>> I’m not going to get too excited until things start happening.
+1.
The RNC has built a track record of RINO-supporting malfeasance.
Only a NEW TRACK RECORD of bedrock conservate support will gain my attention (and my money).
Words aren’t near enough to change my mind at this point.
>> Rinse Priapus?......
His last name *is* hard
to pronounce.
Thank you for posting from a factual perspective.
On Wisconsin!
He sounds like the right guy, for sure. Other than his praise of Abraham Lincoln, I’m right there with him.
Not for Lithuanians. Let’s give him a chance.
Sound idea never know who the GOP will put in the arena could be another McNuts or a Dole.
That would be wise.
I am willing to bend and support any one capable of defeating Obama in 2012. I will be very sad to see him get another 4 years to destroy our economy. If Christie wins nomination, and that is very unlikely, you bet I will throw all the money I can to him in general election.
>> Not for Lithuanians.
I thought he was *against* gay marriage and now you tell me he’s... Oh, wait! *Lithuanian*. Nevermind.
>> Lets give him a chance.
Fair enough. Show us your stuff, Mr. Priebus.
I’m glad you mentioned Palin’s name so favorably. The RNC elites have to realize that many of us like her very much. That’s not to say I don’t like a few other conservatives as possible presidential candidates, but Palin is surely one of them.
