TEAM OBAMA BEGINS PLANNING $1 BILLION REELECTION CAMPAIGN
http://www.politico.com/playbook/ ^ | 1/14/2011 | Mike Allen

Posted on 01/14/2011 9:45:22 AM PST by Qbert

Good Friday morning. TOP TALKER – DNC BRAINSTORMS 2012 WITH BUNDLERS -- Jeanne Cummings: “Bracing for a half-billion-dollar onslaught of outside GOP cash in 2012, President Obama’s advisers are quietly working to bring back together the major donor base that produced a record-breaking fundraising haul in his first run for president. In the past few months, Democratic National Committee aides have contacted several of Obama’s earliest financial backers to brainstorm about when and where to host the first money-raising events. Several big donors said they expect the Obama 2012 operation to open its doors this spring, with a string of fundraisers to generate the early cash needed to rebuild the president’s high-tech campaign operation. … ‘They are getting organized in Chicago to start a massive two-year campaign, which I believe will be successful, but has extraordinarily large challenges in some of the major states,’ said Philadelphia philanthropist Peter Buttenweiser, who hosted one of the first Obama presidential fundraisers in 2007 and is in talks to organize an early one for the re-election. …

“Obama was scheduled to go to New York this week to meet with about 25 large bundlers and supporters … but that event was canceled after the Tucson shootings … The one piece of Obama’s fundraising apparatus that has been managed closely since his inauguration is his online, small donor base. … But a billion dollar presidential re-election bid is unlikely to be launched or sustained for long exclusively with small donors. Even in 2008, Obama’s eye-popping online giving was matched with larger donations generated by roughly 700 big and small bundlers. Rebuilding that half of his financial operation is critical to his prospects and talk of it dates back to before the midterms when the president hosted a string of late summer DNC fundraisers.

It started the other day — his stump speech was delivered while standing on six coffins.

If the Wellstone memorial sunk an election...we can only hope the BHO adm’s attempt to politicize a memorial, albeit more sophisticated, has exceeded all the hubris the American people are willing to tolerate.

EXCLUSIVE: Univ. of Arizona Reveals Origin of Memorial T-Shirts
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/2656500/posts

FoxNation.com spoke to representatives at University of Arizona BookStores who revealed the vendor they used....”Youth Monument,” a Los Angeles-based company specializing in “the hottest” college brands. “I don’t feel comfortable commenting on the story,” said Nick Ventura when contacted by FoxNation.com. Ventura called himself “a partner” at Youth Movement. When asked if the University of Arizona was a regular client and if there was any contact with the White House or any political group he responded “no comment.”

Searching through CA state records, this company got its first license in California on Oct 21, 2010. I am involved with contract work for universities in Kansas. Anything over $20,000 has to be competitively bid. There are rare exceptions for emergencies, with pre-qualified contractors...but you’d have to have more than a three month history to become pre-qualified.

There is an address listed (21650 OXNARD ST STE 500, WOODLAND HILLS CA 91367); but its a high end office park - I’d say that’s the address of their attorney. A name is listed - Robert Ezra, who I have confirmed is an attorney for Ezra Brutzkus & Gubner LLP.

I found that Ezra gave $500 in 2010 to Bob Shannon, to run for Long Beach City Attorney.

I own a screenprinting/embroidery company in AZ. NO WE DIDN’T PRINT THOSE. But I know the shop that did. A friend owns it. The work was done here in Arizona. They are a contract screenprinter which means that they simply print the art supplied on the shirts supplied and have nothing to do with the use of the items. People trying to track them down are barking up the wrong tree, all you will find is a contract shop that specializes in what we call “hot markets” - Diamondbacks win the World Series and you want 50,000 shirts to give out at the victory parade 12 hours later, they can do it lots of big automatic presses and 24 hour production. The real rat in this story this Los Angeles company with the “no comment”. Who paid for these and whose idea was it? I do work for college bookstores and this is not a college bookstore kind of job. They don’t have a dime to spare and coming up with $60k on two days notice is not within their power.

Voila.

From Daily Kos on January 14, 2011:

Host a SOTU "Together We Thrive" PROGRESS PARTY! It's time to Network For Progress!

We need to put the "working" into NETroots!

Join us in DC and/or reach your local Obama/OFA, Progressive, Democratic and other Cause or Civic-minded groups and activists to host a State of the Union Party on Tue 1/25 and future collaborations so we can re-build the coalition that has been neglected since November 2008. Although OFA has done lots of great work the Social, Social Media & Media outreach efforts we need to compete with the GOP's Fox News/Tea Party "Axis of Evil" have to be more coordinated for us to Mainstream HOPE over Fear in the public discourse.

If you would like to discuss ways we can strengthen our "Yes We Can" Movement in 2012 and beyond please email Jim...

Nah, "Together We Thrive" isn't political.

IMO, Zero’s re-election campaign would be wise to reserve a lot of their funds to keep hiding his past and his birth certificate or paying off those not talking.

Get McCain to explain again how McCain Feingold was going to “fix the system”

Then beat his ass

Then repeal it

Then replace it with one line: “Anyone can give ANY amount, but you must have FULL DISCLOSURE - You must disclose every penny you received and from who (traceable to source) or THE CANDIDATE goes to jail.”

The big difference is that now we know who =he is (sort of)

He cannot tell bald-faced lies

He is a proven socialist, he surrounded himself with socialists, he is a tax and spend liberal, he got us into 1.4 trillion deficit spending

He tool over the car industry and oil industry and health care and student loans and etc etc

We TOL the people he would do this and the media ignored it

We were proven right.

If he wins again I am leaving this country and retiring

Even after the 2008 campaign Obama had 15 million in cash on hand with less than a half million in debts to use for those purposes.

I think his grandparents had a birth certificate for him inserted in the Health Bureau files back in 1961. His grandmother was Vice President of a bank, perhaps a loan in exchange for a birth certificate?

Hell, he did that the other day at the political rally, and the SRM ran with it and told it to the sheeple.
