90% of America DIDN'T Watch Obama
Friday, January 14, 2011 | cc

With the avalanche of lame-stream media reports in the last week, followed up by a boisterous funeral "memorial", one might get the impression that the whole country had finally turned on conservatives. Don't believe it.

While Reuters is crowing how Obama's "memorial" attracted 31 million viewers, this means that 90% of the US population didn't. Several lesson can be learned here:

(1) Obama real supporters are still a small minority of the whole country. They vocal, yes, and they're always in your face, but they are a minority, so Obama's re-election hopes are limited, despite rosy LSM reports.

(2) Conservatives are still on track to win it all in 2012 - and Obama's team knows it, thus their furious (and futile) efforts to - once again - try to smear the TEA Party (and conservatives by extension).

(3) This past week's events should make it clear that the other side - and especially the media - has no intent of ever being nice or civil, they will use whatever low-down slimeball tactics they can to trash us and our policies. Take this a political Declaration of War - meaning we must challenge them at every turn, expect the worst, and never retreat!

Home the Republican leadership is listening - you can't negotiate with people who don't want to respect you.

Why invite a liar into your living room to speak?

I don’t see it so one way or the other—with 2012 running in favor of Obama or the Republicans. Perhaps it is because things are so up in the air and in the middle now that the battle is so intense and pervasive.

Oh yeah, and every time someone on the left makes a vague generality like “conservatives are contributing to the violent tone of rhetoric”, ask for specifics.

WHAT EXACTLY did conservatives say to cause violence?

What PROOF do they have that conservative talk caused this massacre?

etc.

Do not give the leftists a free ride by not responding!!

How many of those viewers were just looking for a car crash, or looking to watch a circus performer fall off the tightrope? Those that were certainly got what they wanted. That fact that 31 million watched the spectacle of bad taste doesn’t mean that it was a positive for the lefties.

The Left has the media in their pocket, but that did not help them much with the midterm elections nor will it with the upcoming prez election.

Great uplifting post. They can try to discredit the tea party all they want. Bottom line is the chapters are already formed and quietly bringing more people into the fold. They don’t need to get in peoples faces...just diligently turn out to vote in 2012.

Thirty one percent (31%) of households could mean that more than 10% of the country watched the memorial event. But...thats still a very small number given the importance that the MSM has put on the event/speech. In the past events like this would draw 30% of the households in America. I have a feeling that the ridiculous rants about vitriol and the partisan charges that the Tea Party caused the shooting has “turned off” many Americans and they decided not to watch the memorial. If I’m right the Democrats will have a hard time capitalizing on this.

I remember that Democrats had huge electoral wins in the 1964 elections because the media portrayed the Kennedy assassination/shooting in a way that benefitted them. Today’s electorate is a little less gullible.

I didn’t watch because I might have thrown a shoe at my new TV my son gave me for Christmas.

That Barry Obama is costly in so many ways.

That means that 10% DID watch.

And for this scum, 10% is about 9.99% too high.

What is wrong with the good folks in the country?

I have seen O so much on television that I simply can’t watch him anymore. I didn’t want to watch the Memorial service since I was afraid he would give a “shout” out and the service would be disrespectful. I didn’t get the whole Native American thing and won’t give time to something that is fake and used only as a photo opportunity.. IMHO.

Think about this...Democrats alone represent over 30% of the electorate. That means that they got less than 30% of their own party to watch it.

It’s even worse then these #’s indicate because you cannot assume ONLY liberals watched what turned out to be a 3 ring circus.

I am sure a lot were tuning in to watch “Modern Family” @ 9pm. It is the most popular new tv comedy. It was schedualed to be on Weds. night , but was delayed by Obama’s speech. That literally might have given him and ABC a lead in that time slot and an extra 5%.

I don’t believe 31 million people tuned in to the Obama show. Not at all do I believe it. Consider the source of the information. The same source that lies like “H” to us about everything else under the Political Sun.

Did you notice he had a reverse Shaka Zulu going on with his hair?

He must have added some gray highlights for the rally so he could look more distinguished.

He should grow a fro so his ears wouldn’t look so huge.

Agree. The fact that 31 million people (supposedly) viewed the spectacle of a memorial service for an innocent nine year old child being turned into a political rally doesn't mean most were anything but appalled. A majority of the other 270 million were probably disgusted by the idea and purposely chose not to watch.

Personally, any appearance by our Kenyan in Chief on a TV screen prompts a channel change or, if it's at an airport or somewhere else I can't control the choice of programming, a few well chosen muttered remarks and return to whatever I happen to be reading.
