The Messiah gave one of his most inspirational speeches to kick off this 2012 re-election that had everything except a balloon drop and confetti. The cheers and fainting was back as the mock Catholic service was performed with Father Opapa giving the message. It was a great pep rally but a really poor memorial, liberals don't feel compassion.

That’s it! I was wondering why I felt a bit puzzled when the crowd cheered when he said “Gabby had opened her eyes.” I would have expected a collective sigh of relief and maybe some low voices in the crowd saying things such as “Thank God.” No, the cheering seemd more about who delivered the news then the content of the news. Thanks, you helped me figure out why that disturbed me. I didn’t listen to the whole speech and have only heard bits and pieces. Personally I would rather have him email me his speeches to read then have to hear his smug drone.
I though this was Wellstone Memorial II as well.
BTW, did TOTUS fall ill or something? I sure missed it, unless it was off to the side.
I missed that part. Were any of the victims American Indian?
“For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.” Matt. 24:24

I almost hate to admit it but, it is my guilty pleasure watching lifelong, demonstrated core-atheists when they are faced with tragedy of any kind.
When confronting death, disease, adversity or when they face natural disasters, they invariably betray their pathetic spiritual emptiness and absence of humanitarian depth.
It is most pronounced and pathetic coming from public figures (this one included) when they flail around for appropriate terms or explanations in the end, they only expose their how emotionally shallow, bankrupt and exhausted they truly are.
So I wasn’t the only one uncomfortable with the reaction he received when he said this. A collective sigh of relief seems more appropriate than a cheer, at a funeral where there are people whose loved ones will never wake again.
Now I understand my discomfort. Thanks.
I didn’t watch it, but had the two-hour Human Target scheduled to record. So, I fast-forwarded through the speech looking for the show. What I thought was funny was that his head and ears looked like a big Howdy Doody swiveling on a stick. No real movement. You could tell he was reading from side to side on the teleprompters. There was almost a distinct pattern to it.
The venue was chosen by the messiah. Where else but at a university could he attract the uninformed lefties.
About canceling cable service, I have not watched general television programming for years now. With the internet, I see clips and discussions of programming that are posted by other conservatives and that is all I care to see. I can read everyone’s important speeches on the internet without the manipulation of the spin and show biz. I watch selected programs from time to time, but that is rare.
Watching television is like opening one’s mind to a garbage dump of the elite’s most slick stupid and evil. No one in my family watches general television programming anymore. My sons and their friends watch football with the sound turned off and music on and their laptops nearby. They interact to perform their own technical commentary on the game rather than passively listening to the crazy voices in the box.
Television is just not a part of our lives as it was with my parents’ generation. I often wonder who is watching the boob tube.
Together we dive is more like it.
No, and I'm not sure who chose to go with a Native American Blessing and opting out on having traditional clergy you would see at something like this, but it was a very poor decision. No kidding, he blessed worms. I had to replay it to make sure I saw what I saw.
no shame in show biz,,,
For anybody with the stomach to watch the whole thing, did Obama condemn or take any responsibility for those on his side of the aisle who shamelessly blamed Palin and Rush and the Tea Party with no evidence?
Or did he just say we should all be better people ... especially Republicans.
That was the most bizarre Memorial I have ever seen, shame on them.
I watched most of it (from where the network cut into what I was watching to show him preparing to speak) just to know for myself what was said. I was struck immediately by the lack of reverence in pos candidate and the campaigners. The cheering was appalling and the irreverence disgusting. I noticed that the few times he said that, “scriptures tell us,” he never quoted from the New Testament.
My mom just informed me of this. I owe the good people of AZ an apology.
Kinda made you feel like Justice Alito for a second there, didn't it?
I occasionally start to think that I have become numb to Obama’s tackiness, his total absence of class and human decency, and his pure evil. Sadly, the usurper can’t go a week without shocking me again. This funeral turned pep-rally was disgusting even by the phenomenally low standards that the communist occupant of our White House has set in the past.
