Considering how often left-wing propaganda infiltrates our popular culture, its only fair that we acknowledge entertainment media that opts to remain above the fray. You may have heard about one such example: the current Archie story arc in which the comic-book worlds most beloved teenagers cross paths with Barack Obama and Sarah Palin. ComicsAlliance has a new preview of the latest issues first five pages, which cast the political powerhouses in some of the least partisan light theyve ever been under.

Lies! I've seen the evidence! Archie wouldn't lie to me, would he? WOULD HE?
Hold me, Jughead, I'm scared.

First of all, Archie comics lost me when they decided to add a homosexual to the lineup in "Veronica #202"
As far as Palin associated with evil? Those of us who read Weisinger era Silver Age DC comics know that covers purposefully set up such images to get you to buy it, to find out what happened. (One of my samples is a so-called imaginary story, and the other is post-Weisinger, but you get the idea.)
Typically, in such a story, the villain (Obama) would be involved in an elaborate setup to force the hero(ine -- Palin) into humiliting herself or doing something evil. Villains who tie up Batman NEVER stick a gun in his mouth and pull the trigger ... they never even remove the cowl. So, a comic Obama must do something with style to discredit Palin. In the Wesinger era, that would mean Obama's henchmen, posing as reporters or carpenters, kidnap Trig, and Palin goes along with the plan while Todd, or the Justice League of America or Krypto the Superdog come to the rescue. Occasionally, another bad guy (e.g. a jealous Michelle) may foil the plan. Finally, we don't know if that is the real Sarah Palin, or Tina Fey, trying to destroy the governor. Those are ways that the story SHOULD play out in a DC universe. Regarding Betty vs. Veronica (and all the main Archie adolescent females except Big Ethel, all are perfect in form, and identical except for the hair, and attitude.
