I don’t think that preacher look at wings. Maybe they just wanted to hear what Rep Gifford had to say.

I went overboard saying far left, though I would understand use use the small 'c' in church of Christ would indicate the more conservative branch than those labeling themselves "Churches of Christ", e.g., Disciples of Christ, United Churches of Christ, or God forbid, Obama's flavor, as in Trinity United Church of Christ.

I do recognize she was in hot water with abortion proponents and the gay mafia for her opposition to them. If the preacher and his wife were helping to stiffen Giffords' spine on such things, I would applaud that.

Indeed, I was wrong to imply a church of Christ preacher couldn't find some common ground with Giffords. It's not very hard to imagine, now that I've read some of her positions. Generally working within the party religion that so steadfastly supports abortion and homosexual marriage would be sufficient to avoid such politicians, but that would reasonably become personal prerogative in the case of blue dog democrat positions, if held firmly, unlike some Democrat squeeky wheels looking to be greased.

Certainly showing the love to sacrifice one's own life for another is one of the highest virtues one can ever display (1 Jn 3:16, Jn 15:13, Mk 10:45, Lk 17:33, Jn 13:37).
