Bill Cosby is awesome, and as an aside he happens to be conservative, and spent all of his professional life helping underpriviliged kids with talent get careers. Oh, and his not Muslim, he's an unabashed Christian. I am an actual fan of his, and have been since his standup days in Philly, Jersey and NY.

To attempt to compare Bill Cosby's humor to some manufactured attempt at inventing Muslim humor is comparing apples and black holes. Phylicia Rashad apparently converting to Islam in season 5 or 6 notwithstanding, the two - Cosby's brilliance and humor and some fake Islamist attempt - are not in the same universe. The show nosedived in the ratings shortly after she married Ahmad...for good reason. Besides, the marriage was pretty short lived.

you guys are spot on... the Huxtables were Christian...they went to Christian church on Sundays... sang gospel songs... even if you aren't black, upper middle class nor educated, you can relate to some aspect of the show... there would be no audience for a Muslim Cosby-type show...
