The following is a short list of U.S. companies caught with illegal aliens in their employ:
-Dunkin Donuts...George Valvanis, 53, of New Hampshire knowingly hired illegal aliens at several Dunkin Donuts stores in and around Portland, Maine. He conducted the illegal practice between 2001 and 2009.
In December 2010, Valvanis pleaded guilty to one count of engaging in a pattern or practice of recruiting or hiring illegal aliens unauthorized to work in the United States, and to one count of using a false attestation immigration document.
Valvanis could face up to five and a half years in prison. He will be sentenced in April.
-Chipotle Mexican Grills...In December 2010, Chipotle fired about 50 workers from several locations in Minnesota, after Immigration and Customs Enforcement apparently began an investigation into the immigration status of the restaurant chains workforce.
In a press release, Chipotle said: We are fully cooperating with Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials in Minnesota in connection with a document request they have made.
Workers were fired at locations in downtown Minneapolis (Skyway and Seven Corners), Golden Valley, Coon Rapids, Richfield, Stillwater and Hudson, Wis.

These employers should be getting smacked with fines that make illegals look a lot less appealing.
Any company caught knowningly hiring illegals should face at minimum crippling fines, next loss of license(s), and finally jail time for the officials in charge.
Ping!
I tinks the title of the article is misdirective...at many levels... how many 500 companies set up shop outside of America to get competitive labor and make their goods/products competitive? How many jobs were created in Mexico? In China, in India? Brazil? and the rest of the “G20”?
How many pad their existence by providing employment in other economies and then ship back the product to America?
That is why both parties close their eyes to it
Amen to that! Eventually businesses who export jobs to foreign countries will lose sales of their products by jobless Americans who can no longer afford to purchase their products. They will deserve the karma they brought upon themselves (and the eventual demise of their business).
Many Americans refuse to buy products from companies with activist agendas. Many of us go to extra effort to purchase products made in America. Those who feed the cheaper foreign beast are cutting their own throats and the employment futures of their children and grandchildren. I bought Wahl hair clippers yesterday - Made in America!!!!! ($20 - same price as the overseas made brands)
American Prosperity - Made in China
Despite the fact that the flood of new and cheap products into America over the past 20 years, especially the past 5 years, has delighted consumers, its hard to consume anything if you don't have a job.
My guess would be 500.
What about Fortune 500 corporations who move their business units to international holding companies to escape taxes and regulations? Why is that legal?
