"As far as we know, Michael Crichton, author of Jurassic Park, is an evolutionist, however many of his crticisms of mainstream science and it's political, bullying nature are the same ones we've tried to make on these pages...webmaster
Caltech Michelin Lecture

My topic today sounds humorous but unfortunately I am serious. I am going to argue that extraterrestrials lie behind global warming. Or to speak more precisely, I will argue that a belief in extraterrestrials has paved the way, in a progression of steps, to a belief in global warming.
Charting this progression of belief will be my task today. Let me say at once that I have no desire to discourage anyone from believing in either extraterrestrials or global warming. That would be quite impossible to do.
Rather, I want to discuss the history of several widely-publicized beliefs and to point to what I consider an emerging crisis in the whole enterprise of science-namely the increasingly uneasy relationship between hard science and public policy.
I have a special interest in this because of my own upbringing. I was born in the midst of World War II, and passed my formative years at the height of the Cold War. In school drills, I dutifully crawled under my desk in preparation for a nuclear attack.
He has awesome observation skills.
He nailed it perfectly in one article.
This is a VERY GOOD READ in that it has valuable arguments against many things that liberal idiots claim
read it just for your own educational benefit
“He has awesome observation skills.”
“He nailed it perfectly in one article.”
And he is a great writer.
I read this a while back....it’s without a doubt one of the best things I’ve read about global warming.
A big smart man.
“I read this a while back....its without a doubt one of the best things Ive read about global warming.”
Same here.
Crichton was onto the Global Warming fraud before many others.
If you haven’t read his book “State of Fear”, you should give it consideration.....
Also very good read in the same vein is Burt Rutan’s “An Engineer’s Critique of Global Warming ‘Science’ “.

Rutan is good in points 3, 4, and 5. He is also accurate on politics in general. On 1 his argument is weak and based on talking points. He needs more original research or just leave it out or just say: CO2 is only dangerous based on unproven models. On 2, he is a bit stronger but still mishmashes his model critiques. The projective models are unproven for CAGW (the idea that the world will fry within 100 years) but the line-by-line atmospheric models are perfectly acceptable for showing that increases in CO2 generally cause warming of a benign amount, about 1 degree C. 3, 4, and 5 are good, but need some cleaning up (e.g. the five year downward trend in OHC is not significant so leave it out).
he nails it
Excellent!
interesting stuff
