Man and animals are not on the same level!
I might agree that men and animals are not on the same level, but that does not prevent me from concluding that I prefer the company of dogs over most humans.

Just curious, in the scheme of things which level would you consider yours? To the truly aware you present yourself to be the lowest of the low.

This is an issue on which right and left seemingly can agree to be equally stupid. I read somewhere the other day, from a big right winger (sorry, don’t remember who) that Vick had “murdered” dogs.
Now, I think it would be possible to “murder” a dog, but I think it’s most likely that Vick only KILLED dogs. And while that is deplorable it isn’t murder. And even if one did in fact, “murder” a dog it still wouldn’t be murder.
This is a very slippery slope and we should stay far away from its edge.
