Chrome is fast, that’s for sure. What I am not sure of is how much information Chrome is sending back to Mothership Google about your browsing habits.

FireFox is, IMO, the best established browser out there. IE has been a steaming pile for a long, long time.

The only people who will recommend FireFox are those that haven’t tried Chrome :)

I work for MS, but I have to admit that Chrome is frigging awesome. I do keep the other browsers around, as occasionally there is a site that has an issue with one or the other. But 99.9% of the time I use Chrome.

I prefer Opera. I have no solid technical arguement as to why. Constructive input is welcome.

I’m using Firefox mostly - have been trying to switch to Chrome, and like it - faster running faster loading... It imports everything imaginable and add-ons are pretty much available for same thing (with minor differences).

Problem with Firefox is it is such a hog on resources that it seems to encounter more glitches.

Chrome on the other hand, doesn’t try to do it all in one humungous program - several smaller ones that all work well together. I’m leaning to switching to Chrome.

IE8 is not very high on my list - I even put Opera above it.

Try ‘em all and see which one you like. (Firefox, Safari, Opera, even Chrome if you dare.)

Why not? They’re all free, they coexist side by side on your system just fine, and they don’t take up that much disk space.

My 2c

It’s funny, I have ‘em all installed but out of sheer giveadamn laziness I usually use Exploder. It’s just not that big a deal for what I do.

If you’re excessively paranoid, use Firefox. It’s got some great plugins.

If performance is paramount, use Chrome.
