FIREFOX
If you work for MS - then maybe you can answer my question.
The annoying little problem with IE8 is that [at some web sites] I type in info [for instance] such as my Zip Code in a “Store Locator” box.
The first number [or character] I type does not appear - but does when I hit the key a second time. The rest of the Zip Code comes in fine.
This DOES NOT occur at all web sites and DOES NOT occur in the IE Address Bar or ANY of the Search Bars. It also DOES NOT occur in any other application such as Word or Excel ...
So, I know it is not the keyboard.
If you’re excessively paranoid, use Firefox. It’s got some great plugins.
If performance is paramount, use Chrome.
I use Oprea
Fastest Browser, Fastest Java, Has everything you need in one installation. It can even read the websites to you.
It is truly the best.
Firefox
I have been using Firefox for years now. But this week there have been issues with Firefox and Netflix website. Netflix keeps warning that cookies need to be enabled but in fact all cookies are enabled.
I”m totally not a geek, but I liked Firefox when I was using a PC. Before that I had Netscape tho, because I hated Internet Explorer.

I use Safari now. I’m dumb, do they make Safari for PC too?
They do. It is screaming fast.
And yet your name is..... Nervous Tick...hehehe (just kidding, I couldn’t help myself) ;)
F I R E F O X. R U L E S. !
I had no idea, I had never heard of it before I got my Mac. Gee, I learn something new here every day. My brain is getting full. I need to do a brain dump so I can fit some more stuff in there.
Turn off your Autocomplete function....
There are other ones too. Some Linux installs have a browser I’ve never heard of elsewhere.
If you like to really customize your browser and what it will do for you, try out Maxthon. I like the 2 series better than the new 3.0.
I’ve also used Opera for years and found it fast and efficient. Has a nice anonymous browsing feature also.
Chrome - much faster, BUT has problems with some sites that use javascript.
Firefox - extremely robust, handles ALL sites perfectly, but is slower than IE8 or Chrome.
I use both.
IE 9 Beta
j/k
Safari 5 for Windows is very fast, although I prefer the FireFox UI
I didn't even download it - I downloaded GOOGLE Earth to look at a specific place. A few days later - boom, there was GOGGLE Chrome - and then, blam , It totally took over my desktop - every single icon and froze most of them,
I had one devil of a time uninstalling it - it had wrapped and weaved itself all through my computer.
I was finally able to recapture my desktop sites and data.
I use IE8 but may switch. I used Firefox for a bit a couple years ago and had trouble with it. I tried Dogpile but my virus protector didn't like it.
Speaking of virus protectors - I recently put on STOPzilla and am impressed with it. (Haven't checked but I suspicion it's connected to Firefox/Mozilla?
