Everybody knows that. Treaties require 2/3 vote (of those present).

Fur Shur all the RINOs who'd been tossed out already voted that way.

I think it's time for the House to punish them.

You’re quite welcome!

I’ll edit the video right after you produce the balance of the non-existent article that is supposedly excerpted here.

Merry Christmas!

I think Obama’s December was like playing to a tie. He lost two big ones, even though Obama and many helpers in the media are trying to spin the continuation of the Bush tax rates as a win for Obama. That was a big loss for Obama, a loss so big much of his own party opposed his real position to end the Bush rates on upper income earners. So, Obama just did a flip/flop and finally started singing the praises of continuing all the Bush tax rates.

And the Dream Act was a loss for Obama. DA/DT was a win as was the START treaty, but most of the other bills passed had Republican support throughout.

For whatever reason, Krauthammer just seems like he wants to praise Obama this month.

Exactly. Kraphammer has never been a conservative. He's a hawk regarding Israel because he is Jewish. He is the ultimate elitist who judges people by what school they attended and things we should be governed by our betters. He has always been a social liberal.

Why this guy has any appeal to conservatives is beyond me.

Well, come January, Speaker Boehner will be running the House and he will have the power to subpoena Obama's long form birth certificate, if it exists. When Speaker Boehner does that, Obama's game may be over.

TILT!!

So far all I can see we got is a new House leader who cries at the drop of a hat and has made a fool of himself. The Rats know and see weakness, and will exploit it to no end, as they “played” Newt. Remember when Newt had a meeting with Klinton and came out after-wards telling the media what a charming and interesting man the Pervert-in-Chief” was? O-Hole will be hailed as the new “come-back kid”. Its all being set up between the White House and the media as we speak. I fear 2012 will be 1996 all over again.

It is a cheap shot, that is all.

Obama and his lame ducks are going scorched earth. While DC butt sniffers like Krauthammer are dazzled by the skulduggery, the rest of the country is just getting more appalled and angry by the minute.

Meanwhile, the republicans are blowing it big time. They have two years to redeem themselves, this time their voters won't be coming back.

Spooky. I have said exactly all of that repeatedly.

Krauthammer started shilling for DADT weeks ago, saying it was going to be eventually repealed anyway because of a "generational, cultural shift" in attitudes toward gays - as though acceptance or dislike of homosexuals was some sort of attitude one would take up like one would put on the latest fashion in shoes - there's good reason to think that disgust (not "fear") toward the gay lifestyle is more hardwired and enduring than this, but whether it is or not, Krauthammer's view ignores the real issue that having openly gay individuals living in intensely intimate circumstances with heterosexuals even a minority of whom are repulsed by the lifestyle can not help but lead to tension and distraction which will be disruptive to the mission of the military - to fight and win wars, not to make a bunch of maladjusted kids feel better about themselves.

In this case the psychiatrist is living in a fantasy world, and not all the propaganda and wishful thinking the left can muster will change it to reality.....

re: I fear 2012 will be 1996 all over again

I think your fears are well founded. The coming year has tremendous potential for either good things or bad things. I share your concern that it will be the latter.

The GOP has the chance to redeem itself. If it turns out to have the balls to do it, well that’s another matter.

We have got to keep the pressure on them to do what we elected them to do and that’s NOT to wimp out and cower in the shadow of past failures to deliver as promised.

Everyone is angrier than on November 2nd, IMO. The arrogant Elitist Republicans that exposed their RINO status are TOAST at whatever time they come up for re-election. That is a mission of the Tea Party, IMO. Traitors won’t be re-elected nor will eunuchs.

Significant laws that will stay on the books unless and until we find a way to repeal or replace them is a pretty big accomplishment. Unless we (Republicans) start ACTING as if we won a historic victory, what good will it have been?

I’m still optimistic about 2011, but just sayin’, Dr. K is pretty much on target. Obama got a hell of a lot more done with the help of Republicans in less than 2 months than he did in two years with Democrats in control...think about it.

He’s probably right that Obama did have a big month. I’m just hoping the new Congress can repeal or at least unfund some of it.

I think Charles Krauthammer has a point...in this last couple of weeks, out of spite and revenge the lame ducks went out of their way to shove this crap down the collective American throat..it does not mean C K agrees with what was done or that it was right. When you just look at it, this bunch took a beating in Nov and yet they still got this horseS§¶•∞ passed with the help of a few RINOS, whose names must be taken down, to get this stuff done. I am going to continue to toss out all GOP membership renewals..and when the goons call asking why we have not made good on our pledge I am going to tell them it is because the Republican party has not made good on theirs! It will be donations directly to candidates of our choice now.

Obama really got off the mat by doing something new and unexpected, ignoring the will of the people. Oh wait, that is his usual operating procedure. Off the mat?!? Comeback kid!?!? Comeback to what, being a leftist who detests this country.

All I saw this December was a petulant bunch of Washington elitists (RINOS and dems alike) who simply can’t stand the fact that the peasants dared to vote them out of office. Hell, they simply can’t stand the fact that the voters get to vote at all. Boy, they sure did get even with those idiotic voters by ensuring our national security is flushed down the toilet, silencing the internet and porking it up on a supposed “tax cut” bill that cuts nothing.

We know the only reason Obama supported extending the current tax rates is so that he can later claim tax cuts don’t work when unemployment remains high. Neverminding that no taxes were actually cut. But hey, that sure is some comeback. . .to his usual Alinsky, Chicago thug tactics. These are the same tactics Charles decried less that two months ago but now seems to be in awe of.

Charles is sounding more and more like the typical Washington insider.

This is a joke right? There’s still some appetite for hope? What does Obama have to do, drink from a condom to be understood as a merciless, under-handed Marxist?
