Oprah Winfrey says America may "fall in love" with Sarah Palin as a TV star, but is dismissing the idea that the country would vote for the former Alaska governor in the future.
Asked in an interview with Parade magazine if the thought of Palin's running for office scares her, Winfrey responded, "It does not scare me because I believe in the intelligence of the American public."
Winfrey, who interviewed Palin shortly after her first book was released, said she was not sure if the former Republican vice presidential candidate would run for president in 2012.
"I don't know her so I can't speak to [whether or not she'll be a candidate]," Winfrey said in the interview.
But, Winfrey complimented Palin's new reality show and said of Palin's performance, "I would say that America's going to fall in love with her [from her reality series, Sarah Palin's Alaska.]"(continued)

Oh rats, Sarah must be devastated that Oprah won’t be supporting her..what a loss
Why do I have a sneaking suspicion that if Sarah’s father had been black, Oprah would be behind her 100%. Hmmm, just can’t figure that out./sarc
Translation: She’s scared sh1tless.
Greta VanSusteren is doing a show tomorrow night on the Palins in Haiti with Billy Graham. Even Todd was on camera passing out food. Palin is outshining Obama even in Haiti. (snicker!)
The sight or sound of Oprah makes me want to heave.
Oprah thought Obummer was qualified, whatever that means.
Black + Liberal + Democrat = qualified...
Well first things first Sarah is not black and likes men. Why would O support her?
I don’t think Sarah’s skin tone is dark enough for Orca. She’s not “the one”.

ROTFLOLOL. Based on that vote in '08!
Color trumps it all.
I am probably going to take a lot of heat for this, but I think the Oprah audience and Palin intersect with the White woman audience.
And both Sarah Palin and Oprah have unique American stories.
I think if Obama was out of the picture and he wasn’t black, I have a feeling that Oprah would have a special affection for Sarah Palin.
I don’t agree with Oprah’s politics and I think her show is mind-numbingly stupid, but I admire her story.
If every black woman—hell, any woman— in America had Oprah’s ambition as a business woman, think of the possibilities.
Strategically, if I were Sarah Palin and running for president, I would be hitching myself to Oprah, because I think Oprah would be compelled to give her a microphone to demonstrate fairness, especially if she had that integrity she keeps saying she has.
I know many people here don’t like Oprah, but I am making my comments based on political strategy rather than on ideology.
One huge problemo.
Oprah already has her wagon hitched to Obama.
She refused to entertain anyone but obama on her show during '08's campaign.
oprah is a full-out socialist.
Oprah is the richest black woman in the world.
And she got rich selling a lot of products to white middle class women.
She ain’t a socialist.
She is more of a limousine liberal.
Her wagon is hitched to Obama, no doubt.
I was just thinking out loud how Sarah can tap into that Oprah market.
I personally think the White women demographic is what is going to win the next election.
It went for Obama in the last election.
Oprah really has a high opinion of her opinion.
Most of America ignores her.
Oprah is a SW!
Oprah, I fear, has become too used to hearing the sound of her own voice. Her fanbase consists pretty much of bored, mindless, empty-headed, women who have nothing in particular going for them. They live vicariously through this T.V. icon and seem to hang on her every word. I would guess lower I.Q. to be a common trait among her followers.
I disagree.
I believe Blowpra was actually a big factor getting Baraq’s campaign early credibility.
