Mike Barnicle did his bit, contributing the tale of whites in South Boston pulling their kids out of integrated public schools in favor of parochial and private ones.

I seem to recall that they did that because their kids were being bussed, under court order, to schools, hours away, in dangerous neighborhoods.

Barnicle also manages to insult parochial schools. They have a tradition of taking any child, regardless of religion, and certainly of race.
