As reported by Grass Roots North Carolina, Johnston County in North Carolina has undertaken to regulate the discharge of any projectile within 600 feet of a dwelling.
Those of you who have ever tried to find a place to plink an Air Rifle or practice with a compound bow or crossbow will understand the draconian nature of these discharge weapons within city limits ordinances.
Those of you who have yet to run afoul of these ordinances may welcome a short explanation.

Now unless you are Vince Foster, you darn well better not fire a gun inside the confines of Washington,DC.
ESPECIALLY the parks!!!

This law, as I read it, forbids self defense with a firearm.

This smells like someone with the ear of one or more commissioners has a problem with a neighbor shooting on adjoining property — and I would bet it’s over the *noise*. IF anyone is in a position to inquire locally, I’d check with the Sheriff’s office for noise and/or nuisance type complaints about gunfire and see if the same complainant appears with any frequency. That would be a clue.

A system of licensing and registration is the perfect device to deny gun ownership to the bourgeoisie.
