So, the repeal of DADT passed. The U.S. Military has now officially been made a promoter of the “gay rights” agenda. It is interesting that out of all the “big” issues that the liberals wanted in the lame duck session, including the Omnibus Spending Bill, the START Treaty, and the DREAM Act, the repeal of “Don't ask, don't tell” was the only one that passed. Interesting. Why? Here is a clue:
When King Balak of Moab wanted to defeat Israel, he hired a prophet, Baalam, to curse them. However, Balaam could not do it because God told Balaam that Israel was blessed. So, Balaam counseled King Balak to seduce Israel with idolatry and sexual immorality. Why? Because Balaam knew that once Israel sinned with idols and immorality, they would no longer be blessed and Moab could defeat them in battle. This is exactly why, in the end, the left cared more about the repeal of DADT than anything else. God is not mocked. The wind has been sown. the whirlwind will inevitably come.
It must not be forgotten that GOP votes provided the margin of victory for this travesty. After all the hard work and sacrifice of traditional values conservatives for the GOP this cycle, this is how they are immediately repaid.
Millions of American families have, in their hearts, just written off the GOP. Why continue to work and support a political party that let's you down when you need it? If you are going to lose anyway, why not support a minor party that stands exactly with you on the values issues you care about? If the total moral corruption of the nation can't be stopped, why be involved at all? Also, millions of American families have just written off the military option for their children. Why should they send them to the military to be indoctrinated that homosexuality is just as good as heterosexuality, force them to sleep and shower with open homosexuals, and put them in a place where merely expressing their opinion that homosexuality is immoral will earn them a reprimand or worse. Further, the soldiers will lose the support of thousands of career conservative Chaplains who will either choose or be forced to leave the military.
OK. I see it now. The liberals and the libertarians have convinced me. The military's bloated bureaucracy and inefficiency wastes hundreds of billions of dollars anyway. It is fighting wars in far-away places it shouldn't be. It has bases in nations that should be defending themselves. If they can't, so be it. Bring 'em all home. Shrink the military. Defund the waste.
The new GOP majority in the House and the increased numbers in the Senate cannot undo this terrible deed. And, next cycle, when the GOP needs the support of traditional values conservatives to win general elections, many won't be there. They will be supporting the Constitution Party or even a new third party. There is one thing we should do before we go: Defeat in the 2012 primaries every GOP "Benedict Arnold" Senator and Representative who betrayed us on this issue.
The GOP will get a bit of a bounce when the new Congress comes in in January. But, it will be a dead cat bounce. DADT repeal is a BIG deal.
Do not defund the military. Do not bring home the troops. Ok don’t give money to GOP but individual candidates like we have been doing for a few election cycles. We are not going to punish the military over this. I think a wait and see approach is better at this time. Sheesh we are going to punish 1.4 million military folks for 49,000 gay service members? Really? I know that this is emotional but let’s not start acting crazy.

I’m a hawk. (Either Kill em or bring our kids home!) ... But this namby pamby war, way over there, is more like a testing gallery for weapons with the risk of our people dying. I don’t get this war. If the Taliban is going to attack us, then we WIPE THEM OUT ... from the air ... carpet bomb the place. But to have our kids over there fighting for “God knows what?” is just wasting lives. Now more people have died under Obama than under Bush in this stupid war ... and the “threat” from the terrorists is just as real today. I don’t see it “stopping” anything, they’re still coming at us.
I agree. And let’s not forget, G-d invented the surgical strike. This nation is not Israel. We Jews are punished and blessed together because we are all responsible for each other. America is different.
As a former Marine, I can say unequivocally that this is not going to workout well.
The beatings will resume until morale improves.

The problems begin now and it will only get worse. The America I support does not embrace immorality, it stands against it. Without its moral authority, America is not America. No matter how you parse it, this is the bottom line.

No matter how badly the Miltiary is warped by this, there will always be some 4-Star who goes before Congress to say “All is well”.
This is the beginning of a loyalist army. That is why the DADT repeal was so important to them. Once they get enough leftists in the army, they will have the option to seize absolute power over dissidents by threatening military force. They currently possess the power over our finances to a certain extent but they will not be satisfied until they control our very lives, including our thoughts.
A leftist army wouldn’t hesitate to butch dissidents, even women and children. They already slaughter their own infants without the slightest dent in their conscience. What makes anyone think they won’t torture or butcher some enemy of the state’s ‘little brat’?!
There was very little hope from the beginning. The election of Obama in 2008 pretty much doomed the USA to an oppressive socialist state.
We will NEVER see freedom, prosperity, or human rights ever again unless we start a second revolutionary war. I do not have any faith that conservatives will do what needs to be done. The USA and the world are finished.

If we focus on crap like this in 2012 while forgetting jobs and the economy, you can kiss any victory goodbye.
Everyone I know wants to defund waste everywhere in government.
Government needs to get much smaller and even the defense budget will be pared a bit, but we need an adequate defense with or without DADT.
I hope that all of us will continue to support the military as an institution. It's necessary to preserve everything we cherish.
You want to do some defunding? Fine. Let’s start with the EPA, OSHA, The Department of Education and The Department of Energy.
As for the impact of DADT, I think that will be slow and insidious. Recruiting will go into a malaise. Retention rates will drop. The last thing that will be blamed is this change in the law.
There will be some widely reported assaults by straits on gays and some hushed-up assaults on heteros. People will mysteriously die on both sides of that divide and others will be fragged.
A large number of homosexual troops will continue under cover and they will be the ones who act-out against the new wiffy gays. A homosexual is somebody attracted to the same sex. But gay is somebody making a lifestyle choice and a political statement. The difference is you can be a conservative homosexual, but you can not be a conservative gay. Serving in the military is a political statement. Gay is political statement. The two political statements are antithetical to each other.
We are in the middle of a war and we have added to the mix yet another political- correctism like that which cost us the Fort Hood killings. The cost of this mistake will be hidden from the public like the true cost of Cash For Clunkers and the GM bailout.
The military leaders, Generals plus, all the way up to and including Gates publically supported this. At some point, for the sake of the Constitution they serve, there must be a man willing to come forward and say this people are purposely destroying our forces and our Constitution. They are nothing but PC politicians looking out for their own futures. THEY are punishing our troops. I have a son in SF serving in Afghanistan and I do not want him in danger because of defunding. And yes, I understand following orders and chain of command. But he is in great danger now with a wimpy, do no harm, strategy that thinks we will make friends with these people. He is in danger now because there are no patriots willing to sacrifice their career for the Constitution and the men they command. Yes, bring them all home and defund the wimps in the Pentagon and State Dept. Cut the waste. Then let the brave men who serve us fight the tyranny right here at home. We will need them soon- there is no reforming the absolutely corrupt regime in DC. And most of us watch the progressives destroy us while we whistle patriotic tunes and think it is business as usual.

We haven’t had the intestinal fortitude, the manhood, to win a war since World War II. This is where the left has brought us. I’m against any war that we are not in to win, and this one is no exception. Let the sodomites have the military. Where are they fighting now; the Middle East, where sodomites are executed?
One thing I keep thinking about is...when they bring back the DRAFT, the gays will not be excluded.
