Must it be explained again that global warming can also cause severe cold weather both on a local and continental scale? You have got to look at the big picture. Just because it has been cooler than normal from Canada to Maine to New Jersey, to the Midwest to Seattle, to California, to Cancun Mexico, not to mention Europe, England, Australia, Asia and South America... doesn't mean that top scientists at NASA and the University of East Anglia's Climatic Research Unit haven't proved that 2010 is going to be the warmest year ever in the history of the universe. Local, continental short and long term trends and phenomena are meaningless. We have to rely on the experts.

Are these still manned, or are they entirely automated now? Just wondering what it might be like inside the lighthouse.
East Anglia's Climatic Research Unit LOL.

Whoa, what is that “building on a stick” at twenty seconds in? Looks like the Adams family summer home. I can imagine Morticia referring to Cousin Raptor’s Roost.

I made this my desktop picture yesterday. I always have a lighthouse on my desktop, but this one is so great I had to have it.

My liberal sisters have informed me that it is not “global warming” anymore but “climate change”. Whatever.

Your true blue global warming alarmists have claimed that every weather or climate phenomena supports their theory. Drought = global warming. Increased rain or snow = global warming. Extreme arctic conditions in normally temperate England = global warming. Of course... a true scientific theory must have ways to test it... to invalidate it. A theory that has no way to prove it is invalid is not a scientific theory, it is a religious theory.
