Grassfire Nation Update
On December 20, President Obama will use the FCC to seize control of the Internet. If successful, the move could have a devastating impact on the U.S. economy, investments and innovation while squelching your freedom of speech!

President Obama and Elitist liberals want to seize control of the Internet and they don't want you, or your elected officials to have a say about it!
Knowing they don't have the votes in Congress, liberals are instead relying on the Federal Communications Commission to seize control of the Internet through what is called ""Net Neutrality"" -- a series of rules that would empower the federal government to regulate the Internet in the name of "freedom".
Just a year ago, the Huffington Post's Joseph A. Palermo called on Obama to use the FCC to "lock in this advantage" and guarantee ""progressive social change.""
This was the liberal plan when Democrats controlled Congress. But having lost power in the House, they are more desperate then ever to advance their progressive, socialist agenda, and are about to seize the last free-market frontier in the world -- the Internet...
Unless we can stop them.
Days before the FCC's December 20 introduction of the new Net Neutrality rules, Grassfire Nation will deliver your petitions to each of the five FCC commissioners including chairman, and Obama appointee, Julius Genachowski.
Not surprisingly, little has been reported about the true nature of Net Neutrality. When the chairman announced to the media his draft rules memo, he did so saying, it would "preserve the freedom and openness of the Internet."
The draft also included an official FCC "NONPUBLIC, internal use only" stamp to assure that no one outside the FCC sees the document until the rules are approved on December 21...
So much for freedom and openness!
This is why we cannot delay. We can't allow Obama and the FCC to put this "present" beneath the Christmas trees of Americans.

+ + How many petitions Grassfire Nation delivers depends on you
Are you ready to have your Internet usage regulated and your free speech rights undermined by the federal government?
Unless Americans respond in force, that could be the holiday forecast. Obama views control of the Internet as an essential step in deciding content and usage.
In other words, he wants the federal government to determine what you see and read on the Internet!
Grassfire Nation is counting on you to help us mount a sensational nationwide resistance against this power-grab.

UH—do you have a bonefide source that gives this “news”? I’d like to have more than Grassfire Nation’s “alert.
I think at this point his azz could set his hair on fire and run around the white hut lawn bare naked screaming ebonics - nothing is going to save him now. It is too late. If he thinks shutting off the flow of information is going to suddenly save his residency, he is sadly mistaken.
Net neutrality is their attempt to neuter the net as a way of opposing their schemes. Time to water the tree of liberty, I fear! The only question is, water from top down or bottom up?
What the heck is a petition going to do? Donate to groups like Pacific Justice Institute or Thomas More Law Center, they pursue these things in court and don’t charge the victim (which is us btw)
The question of net neutrality or regulations that would require Internet service providers like AT&T, Comcast and Verizon to treat all Web traffic equally ...
As I understand it, "net neutrality" prevents ISP's from limiting or slowing bandwidth of heavy down-loaders, or limiting data transfers.
That's my understanding , and I must be missing something. While unfair to ISP's and their customers, it's hard to see this as a dire threat to freedom.
Or am I completely off-base? Just ask'n
Thanks! Many years of Freeping has made a cynic out of me.
