LTC Lakin chose to stand on his principles and disobey an order he believed was unlawful.
Flawed principles, and incorrect beliefs. He now finds out those mistakes come with a very high price.

He is hiding something, and is not contitutionally eligible to hold the office
Whether Obama is eligible to hold the office or not is not for the Colonel to decide or refuse orders based on that belief.

***The flight surgeon who had to take Lakin’s spot in Afghanistan on short notice to tend to Americans wounded in battle is a hero. Lakin is anything but. ***
Or perhaps the replacement flight surgeon did not have the courage of Lakin to stand up and risk his freedom to rid us of a Resident who refuses to tell us who he is. Or maybe the flight surgeon who took Lakin’s place is a liberal.

Well put, sir. Thank you. And thank you for your service as well.

Well since he pleaded guilty to one charge, contested the second on a technicality and was found guilty by the panel, expressed sincere regret for his actions, acknowledged that he was wrong, and stated that he was ready to deploy; I’d say that your blog is pretty much nonsense.
This was never going to be about Obama and his eligibility. Lakin was foolish enough to be talked into this kamikazee attack by Rolf Jensen, his first civilian attorney. Jensen was out for fame and glory thinking that he could be the one to bring down Obama. Now, he walks free and Lakin will learn his fate today. He’s no hero, just a dupe who threw away his career by listening to the birther loonies.

It would be a simple thing for Obama to prove, yet Obama and his crowd refuse.
I too find it curious why he doesn't prove it beyond reasonable doubt, including his financial aid paperwork to college, transcripts, etc. But again, if you change the name Obama to Bush and birther to truther, is the Colonel any less wrong for doing what he did? His orders WERE lawful. Just because the President is the C-in-C of the Armed Forces doesn't mean every single deployment order comes straight from him. Delegation of authority and all that, dontcha know.

You dont get it.
Actually, I do get it--more than you realize. Try being on AD when the draft dodger Clinton was in office. Were my orders any less legitimate because he was the President? I think not.

“He was not allowed to present any documents or witnesses in his own defense”
I am going to post this again...let it sink in.
“He was not allowed to present any documents or witnesses in his own defense”
This is a disgrace to the memory of all who have fought and given their lives for this country in the name of freedom.
I am ashamed for my country.
This is not America.

No he's not. He's no different than the Mattis Chiroux/draft dodgers of the world who join and then fail to fulfill their obligations because it is something they don't like or comes from someone they don't like.Bullshit. To call an Officer who served his Country faithfully for 17 full years the same as some skanky draft dodger that gets an order and goes awol is crap.
He didn't run to Canada and hide, he stood up, went to trial, the courts refused him his defense, and he will do hard time.
Sparky, you are wrong, this man is a hero, not a coward, and to put him into that category only shows how screwed up you are, not him.

They were allowed to present their case, but just because the White House didn't send them what they wanted doesn't mean they weren't allowed to present documents or witnesses.

I think he should have done his duty as an officer and a doctor and gone there, provided the medical aid he wqas trained and commissioned for, and then, after returning to the states, he could have disobeyed his orders. I think what he did was not right because it deprived our men of an experienced combat surgeon. I think he should have taken care of the men first, then challenged his orders. The men come first.

As well he should. He refused a lawful order. Pour l'encouragement des autres, and all that.

Unless and until we all stop bowing to the imposter, this abomination and injustice will be played out on the entire nation.
Hussein has to resign or be impeached.
First order of business for the incoming Congress.

You apparently do not know the oath that a officer swears too. It is to PROTECT AND DEFEND THE U.S.CONSTITUTION AGAINST ALL ENEMOES FORIEGN AND DOMESTIC. Article II Section (1) requires the president to be a natural born citizen not dual citizenship.

Once again, RIF:
"I, _____ (SSAN), having been appointed an officer in the Army of the United States, as indicated above in the grade of _____ do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign or domestic, that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservations or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office upon which I am about to enter; So help me God." (DA Form 71, 1 August 1959, for officers.)
Hmmmm...part of being an officer means upholding not only the Constitution, but the rules and regulations of your service, including the UCMJ. Article 87 is a big no-no. And no, he doesn't get to decide if Obama was "legitimately" president. He is, like it or not (which I don't.) LTC Lakin refused a lawful order. Period. He missed movement of his unit. Period. He will be punished. Period. The people who put him up to this will walk away. THAT'S where I have a problem--the ones pushing this agenda aren't putting their stones on the anvil to get hammered. Taitz, et al, are risking nothing.

First order of business for the incoming Congress.
If they decide to take it up (which they won't.) It was not LTC Lakin's place to do so, and now he realizes that, sadly too late.
