What the author doesn't realize is that Senators Isakson (Stuffed Shirt) and Chambliss (Stuffed Shirt) have both already slipped their pet projects into the omnibus bill, meaning they are bought and paid for. It's sad that Georgia, which does not have one single democrat in statewide office, can't do better than these two clowns. Unfortunately Chambliss is entrenched until 2014 and Isakson just skated to another term. More proof that ACU ratings have limited value.

About the only time that Isakson appears to be a true conservative is the 90 or so days leading up to the election when he says all the right stuff. BIG gap between what is said and what is done.

US Dept of Labor hasn’t paid me for more than 30 days. They are ‘undecided’.

23 whole days? And they do get paid, eventually?

I bill net 30 and my main supplier is paid by me on receipt.
I offer 50% off shipping for timely payment, just to keep the cash flow running positive.

My husband has a cash business and works about 2-3 days a month to pay his overhead, half of which which is due on the first day of the month before he sees anyone. His secondary business is pay on receipt with suppliers paid first by about 2 weeks.

These people can do what the self-employed do: put money aside each week or month simply to meet costs. Learn the difference between net and gross.

On the one hand, these state employees are dependable customers to other businesses. On the other hand, they are paid out of taxes taken from those very same businesses. I wish everyone in the country would run a small business for one year, so they could gain some perspective on what they are *owed*.
