A new study shows that 74% of doctors plan on retiring, going to work part-time, or quitting medicine all together after ObamaCare takes effect.

The demscum have a simple solution: Just mandate that all doctors work 50 hours a week or they go to jail. Like I said, simple.
What, that’s unconstitutional? Since when do demscum care?
Go Galt!
Yep, and the idea that “enough is enough” for the “rich” will cause everyone who is overly productive to cut back.
Yep, and the idea that “enough is enough” for the “rich” will cause everyone who is overly productive to cut back their productivity.
A catastrophe which may cause more deaths than all other wars and terrorist attacks combined.
Death and torture are far too good for Obama and his worthless goons.
The Doctors AND the rich should sit out the next two years of Obambi
If you can afford it, go on a nice long vacation
OH Bull Crap. What are they going to do sell used cars?? I'll believe it when I see it. My dad was in the insurance business back in the 1960's and heard the same exact thing. never happened.
Medicare made the docs rich.
Oh before I get flamed I'm in the health insurance biz and have much to lose if obamacare takes affect but people should not believe everything they read on the internet. Some of this tuff is just plain crap.
tuff=stuff
doctors will be drafted to work the “underserved” (check skin tone)
.... the obamites will not be denied
or perhaps they will import Cubans and Chinese to staff the free clinics

“Medicare made the docs rich.”
Really? Then how is it that on my last two insurance statements, which combine the payment of Medicare and my private insurance, each of the two doctors received less than $30.00 for a visit? If they are getting rich on that I’d like to know their money managers. I’m not asking this to be confrontational, I’d really like to know.
It could be that the independent doctor is going the way of the buggy whip. Maybe the docs of the future will work for corporations or something. Always there will be threats of mass exodus when there is change, but usually folks b!tch for a while and then go on. It is the way of things.
Medicare was the best thing that happened to the medical system. My delivery fee was $90, now it's averaging $8-10k. Before Medicare very few percentage of seniors had health insurance now 99% do. Yes, docs fees a have been cut on Medicare over the last 10 years but most are still doing well.
I have many docs insured and not a single one has told me they plan on quitting because of OB. Yes they don't like it but they will make adjustments...and medical schools still have a waiting list.
People just need to not take every web link as gospel on what is going to happen.
And why wasnt this foreseeable and shouted from the rooftops during the healthcare debates?
The quality of the care, and future innovations, will only happen when there’s a profit motive. A Government takeover will only lead to loss of quality and creativity. That should have been made loud and clear. We dont want a brain drain before we start making this an issue
uhbummer the magnificent will then be eveeryones doctor...
What are they going to do sell used cars?? I’ll believe it when I see it. _________________________________________
Yes, I have really wondered the same thing. What is bluster and what will reality bring. Even morally and ethically, surely, there are doctors who will remain with respect for those reasons alone.
Although I do like the Galt take by the earlier poster, as it certainly always cuts to the heart of the matter—capitalism, or else.
