That was your first mistake. Perino is definitly not with us. She is part of the old school, insider politics group.
Think of it this way. People like Perino make their money by advising politicians. The Tea Party has changed the ground rules, so suddenly Perino’s advice is worthless. She has everything to gain by the elimination of the Tea Party, and everything to lose if the Tea Party grows.

I remember Perino appearing on Fox News Sunday one weekend. They were discussing global warming and cap and trade. She repeated the entire man-made global warming mantra and argued only that cap and trade shouldn’t be adopted during a recession. Definitely not the brightest bulb (or even lit) when it comes to that science.
