(Ret.LtGen.)McInerny:Congress will review Lakin case-...'is not going to get a fair trial'
World Net Daily ^ | 12-10-10 | Brian Fitzpatrick

Retired Air Force Lt. Gen. Thomas McInerney predicts the incoming Republican-controlled House of Representatives will launch an investigation if Lt. Col. Terrence Lakin is convicted in next week's court martial.

Lakin is on trial for refusing to obey orders to deploy to Afghanistan. He challenged the orders because he questions President Barack Obama's eligibility to serve as commander-in-chief of the armed forces.

His court martial is scheduled to begin Dec. 14.

"It looks like he's not being treated fairly," said McInerney in an interview Friday on Denver talk radio station KHOW.

"It's important that he gets a fair trial, which means discovery.

Since the Army will not allow that, I believe in the final analysis that this will be overturned, but he may have to go to the slammer in Ft. Leavenworth."

Lakin is on trial for refusing to obey orders to deploy to Afghanistan.

Technically that isn’t what the charges detail. Had he followed through all the way until it was time to board the airplane and then refused that may have been the charge[s].

You are probably correct. They most likely won’t stir the pot.

Obama keeps pissing off the left the way he has they may do the job the GOP refuses to do.

Wouldn't that be a kick in the ‘ol head?

Let’s face facts here. Ask yourself just WHY won’t the courts (SCOTUS included) won’t touch this case. Could it be FEAR? Fear that if the TRUTH ever got out the country would disolve into rioting or worse? I bet Congress won’t touch this because they are afraid as well. Race will probably be the first card played if Congress reveals the truth.

On what does Gen. McInerney base his prediction that congress will conduct hearings?

congress has shown no interest in the malicious prosecution of Col Lakin, have they?

IMHO, Col Lakin made a terrible mistake when he chose Puckett as his “lawyer.” Puckett has already found his own client “guilty.”

Unfortunately, you are probably right. Heck even supposedly “conservative” talk hosts refuse to discuss the Obama Eligibility/Birth Certificate issue.

So what is the worst that could happen if the incoming congress demanded to know the truth about obama’s papers?

Public unrest? Racial discord?

Loss of face internationally?

Loss of confidence with the American people?

The military justice system used to be the most fair there was. No longer. The fix has been in since the beginning in this case. Let’s pray Congress does what they should’ve done back in 2008.

If they don’t demand to know the truth about 0bastard’s eligibility, it means we no longer have a Constitutional Republic.

That’s infinitely worse than some rioting or violence.

It will lead to the destruction of all Constitutional protections, and all law and order. Nothing will matter except who can by hook or crook grab power.

Knowing the truth brings the responsibility to act. The Republican leaders don't want that responsibility.

Also, delving into and finding the facts about 0bastard, and then acting on what is discovered, is the only means to have strong relationships with other countries, and have the people trust in government. The public is already quickly losing all confidence in every branch of government.

Ignoring this issue is nothing less than suicidal for our Republic.

“Repubs will not touch it with a ten foot pole. They are cowards.”

They are not all cowards. We now have LTC Allen West who was also unjustly accused for holding a gun to the head of a captured enemy in order to obtain information;(LTC West did hold the gun next to the guys head and fired) after which he obtained information that saved soldiers lives. He was forced into early retirement for his actions. I believe he would welcome the chance to review this case.
