The culture war just won`t die. Sarah Palin is in full publicity mode, and it is driving her critics to distraction. Palin is a political figure who decided there`s more money in the wild west show. Last month "Sarah Palin`s Alaska" debuted on TLC and earned that network`s highest ratings ever. Palin is also pitching a new book, "America by Heart." The book is number 31 on amazon.com. Palin also appears on Fox News as a paid contributor.
Liberals just can`t resist criticizing Palin. Aaron Sorkin hates Sarah Palin. Sorkin is best known as the producer/writer of NBC`s "The West Wing," so Sorkin considers himself an expert on the American Executive Branch. His latest movie is "The Social Network." In promoting the movie this fall, Sorkin spent time dishing Palin. Compared to criticizing Palin, Sorkin`s own movie couldn`t draw his interest during promotional interviews. That shows real passion.
After Palin shot a caribou on TV last Sunday, Sorkin wrote "I don`t watch snuff films and you make them." Sorkin says he cannot distinguish between what Palin did and Michael Vick`s dogfight crime. Sorkin is in the culture war and loving it--while hating Sarah Palin.
Palin`s publicity blitz is a family affair. Her daughter Bristol competed on "Dancing with the Stars." Ordinarily, being an unwed teenage mom doesn`t lead to stardom. On the other hand, former Congressman Tom DeLay competed one year, so the criteria for stardom must be loose.
Bristol`s supporters cast enough votes each week to ensure she reached the final show. The voting became a scandal, with complaints that Bristol outlasted more talented competitors. With Bristol still in the mix, "Dancing with the Stars" posted the biggest Monday finale in three years and it was the highest rated show of the season. Bristol said that winning the final would be "a big middle finger to all the people out there who hate my mom and hate me." Bristol fully understands the culture war.
D List comedienne Kathy Griffin joked at a USO show that Bristol Palin was the only contestant to "gain weight" during the dancing competition. The troops booed. Hollywood might want to leave the troops out of the culture war. They have guns, just like Sarah.
Sarah Palin relishes a good fight. She`s making a pretty living from her critics. The beauty for Sarah Palin of entering into a gunfight is that she will actually bring a gun. Only Sarah Palin knows whether this is the lead-in to a presidential campaign. In the meantime, her potential candidacy led to her $1 million per episode TV show, two books, and numerous $100,000 speaking fees. Sarah Palin is no Hollywood producer, but the wild west show is doing just fine.
It isn`t just liberals mad about Sarah Palin. Former Bush advisor Karl Rove says Sarah Palin lacks the "gravitas" to become president. MSNBC host and former GOP Congressman Joe Scarborough wrote in Politico that "it`s time for the GOP to man up," meaning call out Sarah Palin. Scarborough notes that in the last month, Palin has criticized Barbara Bush and George H. W. Bush as bluebloods, dismissed Ronald Reagan as merely an actor before becoming president, and blamed George W. Bush for the current economy. Like a professional wrestler, Sarah Palin will keep mixing it up with new rivals.
Democrats would love Sarah Palin as the 2012 GOP nominee. America has a love/hate relationship with Sarah Palin. Is it any surprise that establishment criticism of Sarah Palin builds voter support for her? Palin calculates that the worst public reaction to her today would be indifference. Her earnings and ratings suggest that`s right. There are more hunters in America than Hollywood producers. Sarah captured hunter`s hearts last Sunday by simply hunting. That`s the first step to winning votes.
“Compared to criticizing Palin, Sorkin`s own movie couldn`t draw his interest during promotional interviews. That shows real passion.” Or derangement.
I like this line: “There are more hunters in America than Hollywood producers. Sarah captured hunter`s hearts last Sunday by simply hunting.”
She's never dismissed President Reagan in any manner. That's a flat out lie told by liar Scarborough and the writer should have made that crystal clear.
The standard Commie'RAT line used to cheer themselves up and make themselves feel better about their 'RAT "leaders". If Palin gets nominated, I'm going to buy stock in Depends and bed sheets. The 'RATS will be going after that stuff like a pig going after a corn cob.
BUMP. It’s a great line because it’s true!
I find Karl’s statement that Palin “lacked gavitas” to become president ironic.
ROFLOLOLOL.
I’d think more of her if she cooked it for me. /s
I was getting ready to say the same thing. She was using irony to make her point about Reagan, but Scarborough didn't have the brains to pick up on it.
But that´s also a very effective sentence, acknowledge it. It is going to be hard for you to outcome that, it is part of the Silence Spiral also, tough thing to overcome, but it can be done, as she (The Palin) has been demonstrating.
It must be conservatives, to fight that sentence allways, and denounce it anyway they can.
Yes, indeed.
Maybe he's suggesting Dick Cheney should be her Vice President.
Then again, Democrats are not that bright.
Caribou; It’s what’s for dinner!
Though I don’t support Sarah for POTUS, I have really enjoyed her show. Not sure I can stomach watching Kate Gosselin though...hopefully Sarah shows her for the raving &*%)^ she is.
Id think more of her if she cooked it for me. /s
In an apron that says “kiss the cook”

And as in that episode, if your firearm doesn't work get another and get the job done! That to me was the best part. Dang does this women have spunk, mission focused, this is why in their hearts the leftist slime and the likes of Angrea Witchell are $&!+ing their pants, they know once she puts her mind to something she is unstoppable.
Governor Palin has a large family to feed, and all those kids and a hard-working, manual laboring husband can eat a lot of mooseburgers. A lot of us have to live a practical, labor intensive life that calls for a lot of good protein and everyone in the family manning up and doing their part to provide it. That’s just reality.
