The Obama supporters in the video seem to be trying to justify this by saying Obama had spoke about this several times in the last few days and we are all morons for criticizing him over walking out of his own presser and leaving Clinton in charge.

That’s the thing. It’s the “optics”. People react to this at a visceral level. In the next few days, Obama will try to do a photo op where he “man’s up”, but it will make him look even more ridiculous.

The “What if it was a Republican” question comes to mind all the time with this administration—really anything Democrats do—for a laugh. This, however, was a not ready for primetime SNL skit. I know JFK talked with IKE during the Cuban Missile Crisis, but this?... It would have less obviously an act of desperation if O would have confered with W.
Zero talked about two, hung around for another nine minutes watching Clinton perform, and then left Bill to his own devices for the rest.
I hate to say it...But for a short while it was nice to see the president answer questions without a teleprompter, take charge and give a sense of a person in charge. And I don’t even like Clinton...
