Janet Napolitano said last month that we should expect to soon see tighter restrictions at bus, train, and marine transportation centers, too. Here's a report about TSA, Border Patrol, and local police setting up a checkpoint at a Greyhound station in Tampa. Note how quickly preventing a possible terrorist attack expands to include catching illegal immigrants, and preventing drug and what sounds like "cash smuggling." (It's hard to tell from the audio.) Note also the complete and utter reverence the local news report bestows on these government agencies, who after all are merely "teaming up to keep your family safe."

PAPERS!!!
When will we be issued our gold star armbands?
...but if I had just come across the border from Mexico I’d be able to go wherever I darned well pleased, right?
Report: Homeland Security Compiling TSA Enemies List
I still don't understand why a terrorist would need to be on the bus in order to destroy it. I guess a total inability to think is a requirement for working for TSA.
Just preparing you for the new “Show me your papers” Marxist police state.
Muzies need not worry. Only WASP will be targeted.
My brother in law opted to drive to our town for Thanksgiving instead of flying like he usually does because of all this airport crap.
Is this worth pinging your CWII list?

The Socialists know what they are doing. And many of us know what the Left is about. But what Republican politician will announce it? Liberalism and its thug tactics are on full display for the entire world to see. Obama's police state will pretty much destroy our American way of life, the economy, and liberty before the 2012 election. His goal is to control every aspect of life, food, credit, and the pursuit of happiness.
Some of Obama's advisers are telling him to ignore congress, and rule by decree. And to a great extent, he could, if he is so inclined. This is terribly, terribly wrong.
Think of how many more people the TSA will have to hire to pat down and scan people at train and bus stations, malls, grocery stores, sports competitions, churches and synagogues (but not mosques), and anywhere else large numbers of people congregate.
How many more freedoms will Zer0 usurp.
When the foreign occupier employed the phrase 'fundamentally transforming America' two years ago, that's precisely what he meant. Zer0 has no intention of going quietly.

Now, really, what more could she have said to advertise to terrorists that there still is one way they could take down a plane?
What a $#!+head!
Many forget that 911 occurred because one of the witnesses in the earlier bombing suggested, while tesifying, that a more effective way to take down the WTC would be to fly a plane into it.
That same idea was used in a Tom Clancy novel to destroy the US Capitol Building.
I think that'll work for a while, but in the long run, if we don't get the groping and scanning stopped, it will be on streetcorners and roadsides.
Of course, once people start digging through your stuff, excuses will abound for stealing anything of value, either through stealth or even right in front of you.
The threat of arrest and detention will be used to squelch protest (especially if the 'random' shakedowns target vehicles with out-of-state plates). It will be the classic small-town speed trap gone amok.
I wonder if the Legal Citizens of this Country could set up road blocks and pat downs to control the free flow of vermin in and out of DC.
Did anyone else notice when Southwest Airlines dropped “you are now free to move about the country” as their jingle?

This is America? Yea whatever. Not the one I used to know. I don’t believe for one second this is all about terrorists. It’s about a jackboot at your throat and submission.
