On the contrary, the "ruling class" leftists HAVE thought this through. Remember, their goals are not what they state, much less are they the same goals for "good" that you would have. They seek to destroy the military, or "better" yet, corrupt it for their own use. No better way than requiring acceptance of gays in the military.

Now, for the sheeperals - they just want to feel good about themselves as in "I'm a good person". They're being sold the idea that this is about equality and not "being mean". They don't, and don't want to, think any deeper than that.
