My son is a Navy Captain and began his tour 24 years ago in a boomer sub, the USS Alaska, and he is 100% against open gays in the military, especially the sub service.

He said it is a prescription for a disaster and multiple law suits.

He told me that the media is just making up the numbers as there has been no formal "secret" vote by the average military folks.

You can't have a superior officer ask these kinds of questions to junior officers and enlisted men and expect to get honest answers.

It’s plan stupid. It’ll never work, especially for those on ships, in combat, and subs. You get one gay guy hit on a straight or even a hint of hitting on him or perceived, your gonna have some real problems.

We need to get this discussion going throughout the day because I am sure that Fox and Beck have staff reading for stories to cover.

Here's the real story on this survey. We have 1.5 Million Active Duty and another million reserve and guard. This survey was given the "widest dissemination". So the real inquiring and logical mind would ask, "Why did only 175,000 respond?" I have "a good friend" that said the majority would not respond to the survey because they were opposed to gays in the military but that, under the current administration, to express that on a survey would come back to haunt them. If you look at it from that perspective, the VAST "silent" majority of military members are opposed to gays in the military.

If military staff in positions to shine a light on trouble, as with the Fort Hood killer psychiatrist, refuse to open their mouths for career concerns, then PC has won the war against reality.

No wonder the dncmedia can report such lying statistics about the DADT polls. They obviously know where to go to get the “correct” answers to their “correct” questions.

FOX has been disgusting in their reporting about this.
As soon as they found out a queer released the classified documents they stopped covering that angle and now they are pushing this crap while ignoring that most combat troops do not want it.

As a combat vet the survey is pure bogus and no republican had better vote for this.
