Depends how fast evil travels. Speed of lightning I guess.

They dare not hold it until January. What the *^&^%& were those Republicans thinking? Do they have stock in Monsanto, or what?

Indeed. I am glad to say that some of the staff I spoke with yesterday came down on the right side, but Vitter in particular gets my lying thief award, since another FReeper said yesterday, that they were told he was leaning towards No, but clearly, overnight someone made him an offer he could not refuse : |

I don’t know about you folks, but this vote today, starts a brand new list of who clearly did NOT get/read/UNDERSTAND the memo we sent in November. I was unfailingly polite on the phone yesterday, but I did close each call with a statement about how we will be watching the votes....

Damn! Look at all those Republican sell outs.
Our work is just begining. Vote those bastards out. May Lamar Alexander of TN be first.

The House has already voted it in. We’re screwed again.

Well, It looks like the Bill was going to pass, no matter what. Not only do we not have a majority in the Senate, some of the usual suspects sided with the Dems on this. Furthermore, 2 of out stalwart Rs didn’t even bother to vote. Brownback and Bond. I’d like to know WHY they didn’t show. I’ll leave it to FReepers in Kansas and Missouri to ask them.

Following are other Republicans who voted for this bill:

Collins
Snowe
Voinovich
Grassley
Kirk
Johanns
LeMieux
Murkowski

They all bear watching.

Sorry for previous misinformation. FoxNews Radio reported that the other version passed in the House. I don’t know if it was the Famine act 1332 or not.

Apparently Obama had us figured right, we will whine & complain, but in the end, we will march in our prison greys, just like obedient little prisoners!

The Federal government cannot constitutionally tell American citizens what to do with food grown on their own property.

That was established as constitutional way back under FDR. Seems that growing one tomato on your property and eating it off the vine (yummy) affects interstate commerce because that is one tomato less that could have been sold to you through interstate commerce.

Those Republican Senators that voted “yea”, put themselves in jepardy. The Dems didn't need their votes to pass the bill. I knew sure the act would pass, but I would have felt better if the bill wasn't supported by so many Republicans.

Anybody ready to get serious about overturning Wickard v Filburn yet?

When does ‘consent of the governed’ kick in? God have mercy on us.

We lost that a long time ago. Sad how many do not realize we are being run by home grown communists. The Democratic party are not just liberals but communists. King Obama is an anti-American communists black Muslim and he will NEVER change his agenda. It will take many years to even make a dent into the destruction even if we start in January with the House. You can bet the House will not be able to do much and most of it's members will probably get crushed. I have no faith in Washington. Hopefully the "consent of the governed" will take over and kick as@.

You know, allot of people on the Right call Glenn Beck somewhat of a conspiracy nut. I catch myself calling him that from time to time. But time and time again Beck is proved right, and this is another case of Beck warning us of something that came to pass.

Saw a bumper sticker once that said, “What if Glenn Beck is Right?” Sure makes you think, because if he is right, we are truly witnessing the end of our blessed sovereign nation, and the World along with it is about to go into decay like has never been seen.

And that’s why the 2nd Amendment is so necessary. A government that can control what you choose to grow and eat on your own property is a government that owns your life. No way.
