“I dont think God HAS to do anythink. History tells us that He often does NOT intervene.”
I would agree. He helps those who help themselves.
“He promised to never leave us nor foresake us.
And to proved all we NEEDed.
He is faithful to His promises regardless of circumstances or appearances from our perspective.
David said hed never seen the righteous foresaken nor their seed begging bread.”
Again, He helps those that help themselves. You cannot sit around praying all day and night long and expect a miracle, not when you sacrifice work and common sense things like going to the store, reasonable hygiene, reasonable security measures, etc. To do nothing for yourself - with the tools that HE gave you - is an invitation to disaster.
Take a listen to the following, particularly the last line: http://www.moviesounds.com/fmj/miracled.wav
Besides, Quix, there is no guarantee for any one individual - His guarantee not to forsake us applied to the entire Jewish People, NOT to each individual Jew. That there were righteous Jews who perished in the Shoah (along with righteous Catholics and others) is beyond question. Yet my faith is not shaken, though righteous individuals suffer, because His promise has been kept (and always will be) for the entirety of His people.
I’ll keep prepping, thank you. Just bought 6 pounds of pasta this morning for only $4.50 - a nice little addition of more than 10,000 calories of long-duration food for not so much money. I do that a lot - buy a few bucks worth of food, medical supplies, ammo, whatever - it spreads the pain over time, esp. if the stuff is on sale. I don’t have a year’s worth of food yet, but I’m going in the right direction. My family and I will at least have a better chance of living until some kind of societal recovery vs. simply praying for some food to be “miracled” to us.
Evidently you haven’t read my thousands—literally—of posts over the years on FR
encouraging folks most energetically to prep.
Sigh.
