When I applied for a US passport I needed a birth certificate. 0bummer traveled abroad before his election as POTUS. Didn’t he need to present a BC to obtain a US passport? And if so, shouldn’t there be a record of same, obtainable via the Freedom of Information Act?

On at least one trip, an unexplained visit to Pakistan, he used an Indonesian passport and travelled as an Indonesian national.

Inconsistencies found in passport applications released by State Department for Obama’s alleged mother

The U.S. State Department has released 14 pages of documentation in response to a Freedom of Information Act request made by Mr. Christopher Strunk dating back to October 2008.

No. He traveled on a Diplomatic Passport. He also did this as a Senator. As I understand it, there are no identification requirements for these passports. They are issued to government officials traveling on government business. (Personal travel WOULD require a normal Passport.)
