Obviously the banking bailout should have been bigger so they could afford to give away better toasters.

Now that 2007 is nearly over, the World Organization of Statistics has released frightening new information that shows toaster related deaths are up all across the world this year. "It's not just in the US, it's everywhere," said Dr. Kevin Willie, self-proclaimed 'Statistical Genius'. "It is an alarming trend, and only appears to be getting worse." I wonder if they have drawn a sharply rising "hockey stick graph"...

I like that toaster but the wood stove is not on my wish list. My early memories about spending Christmas with our east Texas relatives includes a stove like that one at the bottom. I don’t remember how my aunt cooked in the summer time.

That toaster heats the bread too long - it’s vulcanized.

So, you have drunk deeply of the spatula kool-ade. Everybody knows that the knives are the only ones who will protect you. Don’t be anti-knifist.

I dont remember how my aunt cooked in the summer time. At one time, there was a fine old tradition known as "the summer kitchen".
It was a separate small building, behind/near house's kitchen, that had all that was needed to do both the yearly canning & preserving, and to do the daily hot weather cooking, so the house didn't become unbearable.
Air conditioning, gas & electric stoves & appliances, and portable patio grills have made them obsolete.
