Huckabee: Palin “May Run Away With It”

Mike Huckabee was in Iowa today for an event with an Iowa social conservative group that he made clear was a political event. In numerous statements, he has implied as strong as he is can that he is gearing up for another run at the White House in 2012. He even sent a “secret” signal to his supporters by wearing a purple tie. An inside joke among his devotes is that wearing a purple tie is a signal that he is likely running in 2012.

In his meeting with reporters, he indicated that he certainly takes a potential challenge from Sarah Palin seriously. From the Des Moines Register blog…

“No question, she will be a very, very strong presence and force, if she gets in,” Huckabee told reporters in Des Moines Sunday. “You know, she may run away with it. And that’s one of those things everyone needs to be prepared for.”

“If I get in, I prefer she not and that she endorse me,” Huckabee then joked.

Palin will be in Little Rock for her book tour on Tuesday, November 30 at 5:30 pm at Sam’s. No word if she will meet with the press but this might be something to ask her about.

One RINO, one dunce and one religious salesman.

Your flippant insult(s) serve no constructive purpose. Name-calling such as that you engage in is juvenile.

IMHO, if you want to exert a positive influence and promote your favorite candidate, might I suggest that you retract your fangs, and try to be a little more intelligent and civil in your critiques.

Just a thought...

My #1 is DeMint. My #2 is Christie.

After that, I thin Mitch and Haley would be good choices...Jindal not so much,

And unlike most here, I really like Newt.

Perhaps selecting the appropriate "Latino" VP candidate can overcome the automatic 10%-12% advantage that Obummer gets out of the gate. Actually, I really hate that this is even a campaign strategy, in that I wish we could get rid of all the stupid -American idiocy.

However, there are far too many negatives from a mainstream perspective for her to be elected president.

Your "concern" is duly noted...

I agree Palin isn’t a dunce. I also agree that many on this forum could be better on Reagan’s 11th.

Having said that...Palin is clearly not a very intellectually curious person.

Um, Christie supports gun control (semi-auto ban)

Try again...

“Palin is clearly not a very intellectually curious person.”

Even for you, that is an obtuse comment.

Indeed.

It’s about time for us to accept the truth:

Sarah Palin is at the moment, SHREWDEST AND WISEST POLITICIAN in the Right side.

That GAS PROJECT IN ALASKA THAT WILL SURELY BENEFIT THE LOWER 48 IN THE NEXT 3 YEARS IS REMARKABLY GENIUS!

Palin is clearly not a very intellectually curious person.

And Reagan was???

This is establishment obfuscation. The best President will be someone with Integrity, Passion and an decent idea of what Freedom is. I don't care whether their IQ is 100 or 200. Formidable intellect is entirely secondary...

“Palin is clearly not a very intellectually curious person.”

It is really sad to have to plagiarize the inane ramblings of a dimbulb like Lisa Moosecowski. Work hard and come up with something original or you’re gonna get a reputation like Joe Biden.

And at least Biden didn’t feel the need to borrow without attribution the words of a four time flunker of the Alaska Bar Exam and the dimmest bulb in the current U.S. Senate.

Realistically, Palin is our only hope for a conservative nominee.

The elites want Romney, and they usually get who they want. (See: Nixon, Ford, Dole, Bush, McCain)

Only twice in history have the conservative grass roots of the party been able to overcome the wishes of the establishment to garner the nomination, 1964 with Goldwater, and 1980 with Reagan.

Both were derided as crazy, dumb, unelectable, and were the preferred candidates by the democrats, who thought they would be easy to beat.

Real conservatives are ALWAYS portrayed as dunces...it is a false smear, Palin is pretty damn savvy, as was Reagan, BTW.

Don’t be swayed by the mainstream narrative about Palin.

If we, as conservatives, split our vote among three or four conservative candidates, that will leave the ‘moderates’ an easy run to the nomination (as happened in 2008)

I’ve read many a post on here complaining about the Republican party nominating RINO’s like McCain, some even saying if they do it again they will leave the party....what they fail to understand is, conservatives (us) not coming together and getting behind a winning candidate is what allows these RINO’s in.
